Preparing To Party It Up In Vegas

I’ve been spending most of today compiling the invite list for my party at the 2007 Consumer Electronics show. The CES is just a month away and already I’ve received a ton of requests for meetings and many invites to other parties. If you want to know where these parties are, you can check out the TTZ party list. The list has 17 parties right now but I’ll be updating it as more invites comes in. You will notice that my party is not on the list.

The reason for this I get too many people showing up as it is. Putting the party on the list would just increase the number of invite requests I’ll get. I have reserved 10 slots for John Chow dot Com readers however. If you’re going to Las Vegas for the CES and you’re a reader of this blog, shoot me an email and I’ll see if I can get you a invite. The party is being held at the MGM Grand on January 7th.

I’m also looking for sponsors to help pay for the party. ECS, who sponsored the party last year, back out this year because of internal management changes. The new boss is some old guy who’s not into partying. Right now, the party’s main sponsor is OCZ Technology but they won’t cover the entire bill. I hope that I’ll be able to find one or two more sponsors. If your company is interesting in sponsoring the party, give me a shout. It’s a great way to get your name and products in front of a large group of media. Last year’s party was attended by about 200 people; including many tier 1 media like CNN, G4TV and Newsweek.
