Putting on The Bling with BlingEasy.com
written by John Chow on July 9th, 2008
Joe Daley recently finished a project called BlingEasy.com that allows you to add “bling” to your photos. Joe went way over budget and five months past the projected launch date so it’s nice to see he finally got it done.
Here is a photo of me that Joe blinged out. The site is very easy to use. All photo are transformed into a .gif file and can be sent as a greeting card. The Flash editor makes it very easy to drag and drop animations onto your photo. You can see some of what it can do here.
The only thing I have to say to Joe is, blinging out a photo of me is pretty good linkbait.

I still think it was worth posting though since it’s easy content for the site.

Reply to this commentHmm.. How do you go over budget on coding a flash program? Is it because he bought Macromedia Flash?

Reply to this commentPass the crunk juice would ya, John?
Reply to this commentWow yet another way 12 yr old girls can ’spice’ up their MySpace pages! Ugh am I the only one that thinks the ability to add ‘bling’ like the phone john has above to be a bit tacky?
On the other hand, I suppose if the site is geared towards 12 yr old girls who want to ‘bling’ up their MySpace page then he’s done a good job of it.
Side notes while looking at the site:
Reply to this commenta) uploading a photo on my dual t1s took more than a few seconds perhaps they could change the wording as some people might get annoyed that the website lied to them! lol
b) definitely marketed for girls since the default font colour was pink
c) I like how it offers you multiple resolutions
d) and gives you various Social Media sites to upload it too as well as the URL so you can paste it else where
e) relatively easy to use too!
Its just neat I doubt he is saying use it all over as it does get old.
Reply to this commentYeah Jacky is right! Your hand looks like slipping through the cup.
Reply to this commentRegardless of what you think of the site and/or picture you have to admit that it was a good linkbait idea.
