I’m watching this show on TLC right now call Raising 16 Children. It’s about a couple trying to raise 16 children. I guess they couldn’t come up with a fancy title for the show. The children range in age from new born to 17. That means this mom has been pregnant for like 17 years, starting from age 21.
What shocked me was their grocery budget. You figure with 18 people in the house, including the parent, their monthly grocery bill would be in the thousands. Well it is in the thousands but not that much – they only spend $1,500 to $2,000 a month on grocery. Damn, I use to spend that much each month just eating out! Then again, if that family ate out everyday, I’m sure they’ll spend more than me.
