Review My Blog - 16th Batch

written by John Chow on February 10th, 2007

I know what you’re thinking, “Didn’t you just posted the batch 15 reviews yesterday?” The answer yes. However, not only have I received enough new reviews to make batch 16, but I already have five more reviews for batch 17. At this rate, I may post a new batch everyday! Here are the ten reviews from Batch 16.

I have to admit, there were some really creative reviews in this batch. It’s good to see some readers giving their reviews a different spin. I need only five more reviews to have enough for batch 17, so if you haven’t done a review of my blog yet, then now would be a good time to do one.

If you do review my blog, I’ll link to it so my readers can check it out. This will send you traffic and give your blog extra exposure. It will also get you a backlink from the 515th most popular blog on Internet, according Technorati. The backlink will help improve your Technorati and Google ranking. Full review rules here.

So Technorati shuts down the 2000 Blogger project because it skews the rankings, but John Chow link bribe mania continues in full force.

It makes sense, I guess.

Great job leveraging your blog’s popularity to gain even more popularity.

John,

How come your RSS subscribership went down by nearly 300 viewers?

Because it’s the weekend. Less readers.

hi john, hope you see this comment. here is my review about your blog. . .

http://www.theanand.com/blog/index.php/just-ripples/root-of-all-eviljohn-chow/

Once I start writing, it strikes me, there is not much words in English that helps you convey respect.. . like in Indian lang. where you have different versions of saying “his” or “your” according to the person in question…well. .just my ripples, nothing much!

Hey John,

I think you’ll get a kick out of PayPerPost’s new “Review My Post” viral affiliate program — a button/flare for the bottom of your post template that offers $7.50 for bloggers to review your post/blog, and pays $7.50 to you as the referrer. You get all the same marketing/feedback/linklove you’re already driving and you get paid for each one…the 100 or so blog reviews you’ve already prompted could have been worth $1000+. Your readers can benefit from the program as well.

Various takes on the service can be found via Google’s BlogSearch of “Review My Post”: http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&q=%22review+my+post%22&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d

As always, keep up the great blogging and pushing the envelope…
