It’s a great trade, a review for a linkback from John Chow. It really helped us out when we submitted one in December. I would encourage everyone to do the same.

Like Jane said, the link back from Johnchow dot com really helps your Technorati ranking, I went up 100k places with it (just passed the half million a while ago).

I really need to get a review done on John’s site. I keep meaning to because I want a perm-link on it so it might help my site get a bit mor traffic (though a bit already does come from here).

Perhaps I’ll try and find time to write a quick one on how John’s site has given me ideas to better my site….

I finally started my blog and I know it’s time now to review John Chow. His blog has inspired me for months now. John, one suggestion I have for an article is when is the right time to implement ads on a site? I just started my blog and do not want it to be overrun with ads until it has way more content and a much larger userbase. When do you figure is the “right” time to start placing ads? 500 unique visitors per month? 1000? Thanks!

Nate - I will do an article on that in the future. To answer your question, I didn’t put ads on this blog until it was doing 1000 page views per day.

Well John - I guess the ‘value’ you offer in terms of a back link is so high that you would keep getting reviews for sometime to come.

You approach of posting the reviews in batches in my opinion only spurs on more people to start reviewing and this will continue.
