    Hey Nate..
Is this is a UBD product?

It is indeed a nice plugin though.

    1. John Chow says:

It’s a brand new company founded by the creators of UBD.

      1. PPC Ian says:

UBD is a truly amazing team. I’m sure this Highlighter product is out of this world! Thanks for sharing, John.

        1. Virtual Tour says:

        2. Abhik says:

          I agree..
Only if that floating top bar could be turned off.

          1. Abhik, the top bar can be turned off by going to the Site Settings. You can also upload your own logo to the top bar if you prefer.

          2. Erwin Miradi says:

Abhik: Go to Site Settings to turn it off.

        3. It was launched earlier as well (May be beta), if I remember correctly and this is their second time and I am sure this time with some great features …

          1. Previously i guess it was for WP sites only

  2. Sadia Komal says:

is this like a social bookmarking site ?

    1. It provides assistance to targeted sharing and hence social networking..

    2. Abhik says:

It’s tool to help your readers share full/part of your content and/or bookmark it in their highlighter account.

      1. @Abhik

Thats what I am saying it provides assistance in targeted social networking (Facebook and Twitter)

    3. This is more advanced than that … Try on your blog and you will realise the benefit of it.

    4. It all about sharing good content, which are in form of Sentences, phrases etc. SOund good

  3. Very wonderful application. Its gonna solve lots of problems of publishers. Specific and to the point user feedback and sharing is awesome for any website especially for content oriented sites.

    1. Chris says:

Looks pretty interesting as a social media sharing application

    2. very interesting, I will install it immediately.

    3. Thought of that too and I am sure we are all excited about it. Thank you for the great news!

  4. About its performance we will have to wait and see how it performs for our site particularly.

    1. this is quite useful if you want to know the view and opinion of readers on your texts or on any para itself.

      1. Articles that is really ads can especially and important words and frase be more selected.

    2. Kevin Kimes says:

Performance is definitely a concern of mine for a tool like this. A lot of web based scripts and tools that are related to text-selection tend to really drag down the performance of a page using a ridiculous amount of CPU time and system memory.

Sometimes I find they use up a whole CPU core, which can make the rest of the browser tabs unresponsive as well.

Hopefully they’ve got coders who realize people will actually want to multitask with this tool running. 🙂

  5. Will try it out and come back to make a comment.

    1. SportsNub says:

Please do let me know your experience so, I can check it too!

  6. fazal mayar says:

will try it out, i thought it was a plugin to automatially hyperlink keywords in your article.

    1. Abhik says:

      It’s way different than that.

    2. @ Fazal

Ninja plugin does that … Awesome.

This is quite different than that.

    3. Erwin Miradi says:

Fazal: Ninja plugin, Automatic SEO Link, and Smart Links are the plugin for that purpose. If I’m not mistaken..

  7. Hoan says:

Don’t see its showing on your site?

    1. Abhik says:

John was using it when it was released..
Not sure why he disabled that.

      1. Yes still remember that yellow lines on certain keywords and readers text on them.

        1. Erwin Miradi says:

Yeah it will be nice if he enables that again. I mean it looks a lot better to use highlight colors then bold or italic fonts.

        2. Kevin Kimes says:

It was probably performance related. Client-side computer performance, that is. Text highlighting scripts are notoriously bad in this regard.

  8. Myke Longo says:

Seems like a great way to make everything easily shareable. | The Number # 1 Place for Tech Lovers.

  15. rakesh says:

If you are writing your article in depth and each and every article is serving as a bible, i think then this can be very useful, Otherwise if my article falls under 1000 words, I would prefer comments.

  16. We should give the informative article for our visitors so that bring an attention to the readers to have an regular visit

  17. Bringing the attention of the readers are more important of having blog

  18. Essays says:

UBD team is promoting it’s new plug-in which is unique with the concept of highlighting. I never heard it before.

  19. Looks interesting…but I’m wondering why you haven’t implemented it here yet? Does it slow down page load times? I noticed that it was mentioned on a bunch of tech blogs (TechCrunch, Read, Write, Web, etc.), but they’re not actually using it…

  20. Technary says:
