I don’t know what they feed lobsters in Toronto, but this has to be one of the biggest live lobster I’ve ever seen. No, I didn’t eat it live like that lobster in Shanghai. Other than pulling it out of the tank and saying, “Look how big this thing is!” I didn’t torment it too much. So all you lobster lovers don’t have to get mad at me for disrespecting a lobster.

Can you guess how many pounds it was?

after poking around on the web- maybe 3.5 lbs-still a very respectable size  yummy

Let me guess- maybe 4 pounds? Looks like a beauty to me...I hope it tasted good- and I wish you took more pics.

I'm guessing that it was at least 11 pounds. Yeah Randall, lobster and crab are amazing.

I wish I could enjoy lobster, I'm allergic to seafood, but from what I hear, Lobster and Crab are AMAZING!

Lobsters are creepy looking but the blue ones are beautiful have you ever had a blue lobster?

I Think that it is wonderfull!! mayby 2 pounds?

I have always had a hard time with lobsters over 5 pounds, the flesh is just too tough and stringy compared to the 1.5 to 3 pounders, what did you think?

Good lord, that is a huge lobster.

So how heavy was the ginormous lobster, John?

12 inches gun

Oh my god that's huge!

It's all of the toxic chemicals polluting Toronto, bet the thing was radio active too :P.

I just would not care to play with my food before I eat it.

Maybe it's from Maine?

My John. *blush* That's a...um...big lobster.

Thats a pretty good sized one, I'd guess around 12 pounds. BTW, my experience is that lobsters from Northeast North America are the tastiest, much better than lobsters from warmer waters. Do you agree?

damn that thing is huge!

that´s a great arm !!!

I bet John didn't even have to pay for the tab. That lobster looks very expensive LOL.

Wow thats a pretty big lobster! How much have you spent on food so far? seems like over 1000 $$$ lol

How much did that cost? Lobster's running about $14/lbs straight from the fishermen out here in Nova Scotia. I can't imagine what something like that must have cost from a restaurant in Toronto.

I would have to say between eight and ten pounds. Hope it was delicious!

I am with the majority here, would say the lobster is between 8 and ten pounds.

i think it's about 10 pounds

Based on watching hours of "the Deadliest Catch" i'd say it's a 15lber! HAHA!

If i not mistaken, around 100 pounds. I will eat this lobster in this life!

That lobster's claw is almost as big as your head John!

OK, I got my geography all mixed up -- my bad, John! When are you heading home anyways? If you did devour that lobster, I'm sure you'd be full for days!

So you're back home in Toronto, John? That's a big lobster alright; from the looks of it I'd say it weighs around 10 lbs.

If I don't see the body and tail, no I can't guess.
I am originally from Maine, and the claws, I know, don't necessarily reflect the weight and aren't necessarily as old as the lobster!

dang that's a big lobster! I'm guessing 8 pounds - half of it in the claw!

show us a picture of the entire lobster!

When you say you didnt torment the lobster other than taking it out of the water, does that mean you didnt eat it? or did you?
