Search and Download Over 100,000 PLR Articles

Secure Affiliate Marketing

Owning a website doesn’t do you any good if you don’t have any content on there. Yes, you could take the time to write all sorts of great articles yourself, but this can prove to be a very time-consuming endeavor. There has to be an easier way.

For some people, the path might be to invest in some private label rights (PLR) articles. There are other systems on the Internet that offers thousands of said articles for a certain price, but Big Content Search comes with a little something more: a searchable database.

Over the course of this review, we’ll take a look at the user interface, the types of articles available, and the quality of the writing.

The Big Idea with Big Content Search

When you go to other sources of private label rights articles, you oftentimes get a massive ZIP archive. There are a lot of articles inside, to be sure, but you can’t really search through them efficiently.

With Big Content Search, you get a database of over 100,000 articles and these can be searched through the same way you’d look for something on Google. This is much more effective than the crude categorization and folders that you may find with other PLR resources.

Take the example above. American Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so I thought I’d look to see what was available on that topic. You can see the article name, word count, source, date added, and relevance.

The Quality and Originality of the Writing

While you could use this PLR resource and publish the articles directly, you have a very distinct possibility of running into duplication penalties from the search engines.

The quality of the writing can vary considerably too. If you want truly original work that is written to suit your needs exactly, you really need to hire a professional writer, but Big Content Search can be much more affordable. Based on the few examples I checked, the articles aren’t quite as bad as some other PLR resources.

To help with the issue of duplication and originality, Big Content Search comes with a built-in “article spinning” tool. You choose the article, choose the text to spin, define the appropriate synonyms, and let it do its thing. This isn’t quite as powerful as some other article spinners, but it is nice to see it included as part of this package.

Other Highlights and Bonuses

Whether you’re new to using PLR content or you’re a seasoned veteran, it is also helpful to find a resources section on Big Content Search.

It helps you understand the nature of PLR and how to use it, as well as where to get free images to use with the articles you acquire. (Side note: You can download articles individually or add them to your download queue to download all at once.)

One of the resources — How To Make Money with PLR – Big PLR Guide — is actually another e-product that you’ll need to purchase. I’d imagine that the people behind Big Content Search used an affiliate link there. On a related note, the Big Content Search affiliate program pays a 60% commission and operates through Click2Sell.

How Much Does It Cost?

Instead of selling you a giant batch of articles, Big Content Search is a membership-based service. There does not appear to be a limit to the number of articles you can download, so you could effectively download all 100,000 articles in your first month and cancel. You would lose access to the embedded search engine, however.

The current monthly price for access to the searchable database of PLR articles is $27. Alternatively, you can prepay for a year in advance for $270, saving $54 in the process. This is pretty competitively priced, considering the size of the database and the relative quality of the articles available.

Thank you for this post. I started reading your blog after I came across your book Make Money Online: Roadmap of a dot com mogul, which I am currently reading. After the book I will be digging through your postings to learn more. I’m a bit overwhelmed with the amount of info out there on making money online. I restore old furniture and resell it but I’m moving away from it. The dot com lifestyle video was cool. It represents the lifestyle I would like. I’m working on new content for my site besides just posting dressers for sale. Best wishes.

These articles can be used to have some nice blog posts as well….great stuff for just $27

d3so October 29, 2010 at 8:06 pm

Yeah, but you’d have to spin them. I thunk it’s shady to buy articles and pass them as your own content.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog October 30, 2010 at 8:00 pm

before adding to your blog simply do some spinning and check it and you will have latest article

good for those blog where you sale products from amazon and all.

affiliatesea October 29, 2010 at 10:50 am

Thanks for sharing the news.New way to get the content.

PLR is definitely a great choice for anyone looking to plump up their content. One of the things you touched on here is vital – rewriting the content. No matter how good or bad the PLR you have, you should always do some rewriting before you post it. 1 – prevents the awkward situation of your readers finding the same thing on someone else’s site, and 2 – you can introduce your own keywords and put things in your own voice.

The way that PLR really saves you time is that (if you buy good articles) the research is already done for you. Ten or twenty minutes of rewriting, and you’ve got a whole new article.

zakton October 29, 2010 at 11:17 am

I’ve seen a few PLR articles. They don’t seem to be of good quality. And article spinning most of the time gives poor results.

d3so October 29, 2010 at 8:08 pm

I agree. Article spinning causes errors and makes it harder to understand the article.
I can tell if articles have been spun.

My Lead System Pro October 29, 2010 at 9:07 pm

You get poor quality if you just use they synonyms to spin. If you rewrite the sentences and then use some synonyms, it comes out pretty good and unique.

Mathew Day October 30, 2010 at 5:01 am

Checkout Article demon. It was just released and a lot of people are saying good things about it’s built in content rewriter and spinner.

Canadian Coupons October 29, 2010 at 1:14 pm

What are some tools to re-write content?

Isn’t it going to be a major Google loss anyway with duplicate content.

My Lead System Pro October 29, 2010 at 9:09 pm

Best Spinner, Magic Article Rewriter are both really good. Read the post above about spinning properly to get unique content. And there is no duplicate content slap unless you have the same stuff on your own site more than once. You can have the same thing out there on hundreds of sites and not get slapped. It’s called syndication.

Rahul @ MazaKaro October 29, 2010 at 5:27 pm

very powerful !!!and smart ! thank you for the new trick , i’ll be checking this soon, very useful :)

PPC Ian October 29, 2010 at 6:07 pm

Seems spammy to me. I would stay away from this stuff if you’re trying to build brands out of your websites and are in this game for the long term.

d3so October 29, 2010 at 8:09 pm

True, I would only use PLR articles for MFA sites.

My Lead System Pro October 29, 2010 at 9:11 pm

How is it spammy? Everything that is on the internet is stuff said in different ways. There’s not people putting out something that hasn’t been done or said another way.

Jan October 29, 2010 at 6:19 pm

I am not in favour of PLR content because I find it so time consuming to rewrite. By the time I rewrite an article, I could easily have had a whole new article written.

If anyone ever came out with a huge list of synonyms installed, it might be different.

My Lead System Pro October 29, 2010 at 9:12 pm

Grab someone from Odesk to do it for you for 1.50 while you write your own article and now you have two pieces of content to use.

Mathew Day October 30, 2010 at 5:11 am

That’s a good idea @MY lead system pro. Outsourcing to get articles rewritten is usually pretty inexpensive and decent quality. Or just get yourself a good article spinner.

fas October 30, 2010 at 5:52 am

27$ seems vfm for the quantity.

MillionaireMoneyBlog October 30, 2010 at 1:16 pm

interesting idea to integrate into the site

Melanie October 31, 2010 at 8:56 am

Do you really think paying for PLR articles is a good idea? There are hundreds of thousands of articles on share for free on the internet. Besides, what can you do with a PLR article anyway?

My Lead System Pro October 31, 2010 at 7:07 pm

Most of the articles you are going to “find” on the internet will only be allowed to be distributed with a link back to the original source. With PLR, you don’t have to link back to anything, you can rewrite it completely or partially and make it your own.

Public domain content is good too.

Ari Lestariono October 31, 2010 at 10:56 pm

The idea making content and unique content is to get google indexed naturally, especially these days, Google SE using real human to identified real sites or just spamming. With PLR I dont know whether it will worked or not, since I never tried before. But let see what the end result will be.

aeroporika eisitiria November 1, 2010 at 9:50 am

Andrew@ Audit Software November 1, 2010 at 12:46 pm

Great post, I was looking exactly for the similar service to get access to PLR articles.

Steve November 3, 2010 at 12:39 pm

Seems like searching all the article directories online with Google would be a free way to get all the content you need. Am I missing something?

Human Development November 20, 2010 at 6:54 am

Yeah it will really work, and I am going to access the database as soon as possible. Thanks for making this introduction.

Kostas December 4, 2010 at 7:23 am

I had never heard about this before, so thanks a lot for the heads up! I am a little bit concerned about the duplicate content penalty, but I need to check the spinning feature first to see how and if it works.

ikki December 6, 2010 at 6:57 pm
