See You In Seattle
written by John Chow
Sarah and I are off to Seattle for the Seattle Blogger Meetup. I hope to meet all the Seattle bloggers and some John Chow dot Com readers as well. I’ll also be taking care of some business while in Seattle but that’ll only take a few hours. Then we’re just going to shop until the meetup.
Seattle reminds me a lot of Vancouver. The climate is the same - both get a lot of rain. However, the one advantage (or disadvantage depending on how you look at it) Seattle has is a highway going through the downtown core. For whatever reason, Vancouver chose to not allow a highway to enter its city. As a result, rush hour is horrible. Good thing I don’t have to deal with it!
The Seattle Blogger Meetup starts at 7PM at Ralph’s Grocery and Deli, 2035 4th Ave. I was told parking can be tight in the neighborhood. Best bet is to look for a space on Sixth or pay to park in the Warwick Hotel garage across the street for $6. I hope they have good food because I’m still having nightmares from that burger.

Sounds like a fun time. Maybe you should go on tour and visit all of the USA. It would be a great vacation and give us an opportunity to meet the infamous John Chow.

Why don’t you visit the world while you’re at it?

Off topic here but I have been wanting to know for some time what plugin is being used for the emoticons in the comments field here? Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance!
