Shoe And I Will Wear Your Company Shirt for Money

written by John Chow on June 12, 2012

The Big Idea Mastermind

How much would you pay to have John Chow (that’s me) and Jeremy Schoemaker (that’s Shoemoney) wear your company shirt during the 2012 Affiliate Summit East in New York?

How much you would pay if I told you that Shoe and I won’t be getting the money? Instead, all the proceeds will be donated to a very special cause.

Carter Steven Hertzel was born April 12, 2011. He weighed 8lbs 5oz at birth and seemed to be a happy healthy baby. He got up to 10lbs then rapidly started losing weight. He is now 75% of where he should be and he has been diagnosed with Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus, but that turned out not to be correct.

The family is taking him to the Mayo clinic but all the time off of work and travel is racking up the bills. So this year we are raising money for the Carter Hertzel foundation.

The T-shirt auction is something Shoemoney does at every year at Affiliate Summit. Because of the special case this year, he asked me to help out. So, instead of wearing my normal “I’m John Chow, Bitch!” T-shirt, Shoe and I will be wearing the shirts of the winning bidder.

Not only will we be wearing your company shirt and giving you awesome brand association, your company will also get your product or serviced reviewed on our blogs for even more massive exposure!

Don’t miss this opportunity to help a great cause and have two of the biggest names in affiliate marketing wear your company shirt and promote you at the industry’s biggest show.

The bidding ends on Saturday, June 16 and the current high bid is only $4,175. I’m insulted! I know you can beat that. Go do it!

This is one of the reasons I want to build a big business and have a big audience. Sure, I want to make lots of money, but I want to have the opportunity to do things like this.

What’s the point is all the money if you keep it all to yourself?

Good on you John and great cause! I sent some RTs about this and hope you get as much $$$ for charity as you can, wow looks like you guys are over $4000 already, amazing!
Have seen Shoe raising $5000 & $10,000 at the last few Affiliate Summits with these T-shirt charity gigs and have been blown away .. you guys have inspired me I was planning to do the same thing and wear a company tshirt for charity during my keynote at #ASE12, if I could raise anywhere near this much I would be stocked! good luck!

What a heart warming thing to do. To help this baby that really needs it. Good luck on collecting as much money as possible. I’m wondering which company you will represent soon with the t-shirt…all the best!

I think this is great promotion for business but the most important is your charity aspect.
