Some Cool Tips To Increase Earnings – Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of my series and we’ll be looking at some other factors that influence earnings on This platform can be tricky if you don’t know how to utilize some of the features you have available. In Part 1 of the series, we learned things like understanding the fundamentals, adding videos, and how delivery times impact sales. Today, we’ll be looking at factors like:

  • Embedding keywords in gigs
  • Encouraging reviews from clients
  • Using your gig in forums

Let’s get started with Part 2.

SEO Keywords

Just like any other website online, the concept of SEO is very important. encourages people to embed keywords into the gigs so it helps them rank within the SERP’s. However, has built their internal search engines on “target” keywords as well so it’s important to make sure you include them before publishing your gig. This process is NOT difficult because all you need to do is focus on your gig and the type of people you are trying to attract. For example, if I am setting up a content writing gig, then some keywords I’ll use are:

  • Content writing
  • Web content
  • Article writing
  • SEO article writing

These are all keywords people type into Google search so will be valuable in You can even use keyword planner to find some more relevant keywords.

Reviews from Clients

Having customers leave reviews is very important to keep ranking higher and unlock additional features within There is a filter that allows searchers to filter depending on reviews so it’s important to gather as many as possible. Reviews will have to be left by those who hired you in the past, but many of them forget to leave reviews and you lose out on the opportunity. What I do is encourage my customers by sending a follow-up message, asking them if they can leave one before the time limit is up. The usual limit after completing a job is 4 days for a customer to leave a review.

With more positive reviews, you’ll start to move up the ladder in the category. This will attract more customers and increase profits on your end. You can soon start to offer gig extras to your customers to increase your profit potential.

Using Your Gigs in Forums

In my niche, I’m part of many forums and over time, I know what other community users are looking for. This means if I have a relevant gig, then I can promote it in my forum signature. For example, when I was on, I would write web content and knew many people on SEO forums would be interested. As a matter of fact, I saw an outsourcing community on these forums where people would request content. I knew this was a good time for me to jump in and get some leads, increasing my chance of a conversion.

I approach these people two ways…

First, I would write them a private message, telling them I can help them with their request. They were able to contact me directly, which helped me increase sales. To make sure I increased my reviews on, I would ask forum members to order from my profile. After completing the work, they would leave a review, which would increase my rating and boost me up the search results.

Secondly, I would skim through, answering related questions in my niche and have a link to my gig posted in my signature. When members clicked through, they would end up on my profile page and again, this increased my chances of a conversion.

Going forward, I encourage all of you to start implementing these strategies, testing to see what works. Some will work better than others but try them all so you know where to focus your energy. Once you start building your reputation on, you’ll be surprised how many conversions you get per day.
