Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival – Day 1

written by John Chow on April 11, 2008

Make money with YouTube

Day 1 of Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival was pretty uneventful. All we had to do was find our hotel and then hit the media room to pick up our badges. The Big Air Finals doesn’t happen until tomorrow so we had plenty of time to walk around the village and see the displays.

Most of the action is happening at the village but there are some events happening at the top of the mountain. Even though our press passes allowed us to go everywhere, we’re not sure if we want to ascend the mountain. It’s pretty cold up there.

Here’s a video from our first day at the 2008 Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival. Look for more videos and photos later. I’m sure the rest of the Dot Com crew will be posting stuff as well.

Wow John, you didn’t last on that razor too long. It didn’t even have the chance to get going.

Terry Tay April 12, 2008 at 2:11 pm

I bet Sally could stay on that thing longer than him

Your daughter is precious!

It looks like you lot are having a blast so far. Loved you on the razor! Can’t wait to hear more about this. And you should try bungee jumping!

John,

It didn’t look like you were trying very hard to hang on! Of course it is easy to be critical when I am not there. I hope you have fun! I now that Sally is.

John Chow April 12, 2008 at 9:24 am

Did you use your iFlip video camera to record this? I’m thinking of getting one.

John Chow April 12, 2008 at 9:26 am

The video was recored with the Flip and processed with iMovie.

SiteHoppers April 12, 2008 at 8:46 am

Good stuff… Sally is finally walkin’ huh? Can’t wait till my kid does that… Cheers~

P.S. That’s a really funny razor ride.

Terry Tay April 12, 2008 at 2:09 pm

Yeah Sally was just motoring. Good choice of music to add to the video too.

I must admit the razor ride is a very different way to promote a razor. (That was what it was for right? a promo) Good thing you fell off the side you did John, you might have got a close shave if you fell off the front.

Have fun John and Co.!

Nice random video.. Too bad you didn’t last too long on the razor thingo! When i first heard razor I thought they were talking about an old school razor – much more dangerous. Haha.
