Testing The Sony A7R II with G Master Lens at John Lawson Park

One of the great things about traveling (other than making money while sleeping) is I get to test out my camera equipments. For my trip to Vancouver, I brought along what many consider the ultimate photography and video setup.

The Sony A7R II is Sony’s top of the line full frame mirrorless digital camera. Not only can it take photos are a super high 42.4 megapixel, but it also shoots videos at 4K in full frame or Super 35 mode.

When paired with the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master lens, the A7R II becomes the ultimate photography and video setup. The image quality is simply amazing. The downside is the lens is quite big and takes away the small size advantage of a mirrorless setup.

I used the camera and lens combo during a trip to John Lawson Park in West Vancouver. The park is named after the “father” of West Vancouver. It has long been a favorite spot for children and families on the North Shore. The park is located along the waterfront in West Vancouver, at the foot of 17th Street. With stunning views of Burrard Inlet, swimming, playground, waterpark, picnic areas and walking paths, John Lawson has something for everyone. Sally and her cousins loved it. Enjoy the video and photos.
