The Best Grilled Fish Sandwich In San Diego

After checking out the surfing at the Wave House, we headed over to Mitch’s Seafood in Point Loma to try the best grilled fish sandwich in San Diego. Mitch’s Seafood is a local favorite. It’s a bit hard to find but well worth the search.

The menu is all comfort food with homemade freshness and the atmosphere is casual. You can dine inside or outside on the dock if you want to see the fishing boats go in and out. Buying the fish right off the boat ensures that the seafood at Mitch’s is as fresh as can be.

In addition to fish sandwiches, fish burgers, fish tacos and fish platters, Mitch also serves an awesome seafood salad and calm chowder. Prices are extremely reasonable and service is very friendly. You order your food at the counter and the waitress will bring to your table (or on the dock) when it’s ready.

If I lived in San Diego, we’ll be doing weekly Dot Com Grilled Fish meetups instead of Dot Com Pho! I will be going to Mitch’s again to sample the other fish dishes on their menu.
