The Best Way To Make BIG Money Blogging

How much have you made so far from your blog?

And if you’re not earning from your blog, what exactly is the problem?

When I started blogging, I made a decision to stick to it, no matter what happens.

Most people quit because they didn’t have what I call “stickability.”

Interestingly, I want to share with you one of the fundamental concepts that could transform the way you run your internet business – your blog.

No matter what you’re doing right now, content marketing is the wave of the future.

Even as Google is releasing new systems to better serve her target audience with the right information, you need to position your blog.

Your blog is a cash magnet, did you know that?

Most people don’t recognize the potentials of their blogs. They still complain and whine over stats and comments.

But one thing is certain, if you can look way from those raw numbers and focus on the core, you’d start generating staggering income from your blog. Look at the headline for a moment; I said you can make BIG money.

Now, that’s not so clear – because your financial responsibilities might be different from mine. But if you can earn $3k – $7k on monthly basis, I’m sure it can make a BIG difference in your life.

I met two bloggers a few weeks ago in a conference. Both had good plans for their business. They have BIG dreams and can even talk you into it. But they were lagging behind in…

Taking the right actions

Content marketing is all about taking the right action. As a blogger, you need to commit to doing the right things every single day. If you waste your precious time on tasks that can’t bring you closer to your primary objective, it’s a wrong action.

That is why content marketing is here to help you avoid wrong actions and channel you towards the core.

I’m going to dazzle you in this post – so that you can go out there and start “doing” things that can help you make more money blogging.

What is content marketing?    content marketing strategy

To define this, let me illustrate. I lived with my grand mom for years.

I know she’s stubborn, grey-headed, prays religiously three times a day.

She’d always shout at me when I spill the milk, which makes me want to leave her for good.

On her birthdays, I would make her coffee in the early hours of the morning, when the birds are still chirping and the trees dancing to the melody of the morning blues.

I never missed her birthday gifts – chocolate and a new Bible.

I would hide the chocolate in her wardrobe, or places she visits often.

When she takes her clothes, the chocolate would fall off. She would pick it and rush down the living room, with a shout of joy – you naughty boy!

There you’ve it, the few lines from my granny’s memoir. So, what has my story got to do with content marketing? Can I hear you say A LOT?

If you know your audience, you can make more money

I know my granny so well. If I can understand my target audience like that, nothing can stop me from making more money online. Isn’t that wonderful?

The moment you know your target audience, what they want from you and how they want it, your blog would kick off strongly. Did you know that traditional advertising like TV commercials often don’t know who they are selling to?

That’s why people who invested heavily on media buying lost a lot of money. In blogging, lack of knowledge about who your readers are, is the reason why most people don’t make BIG money.

Focus on your niche, from day one

The first step to build a money making blog is to focus on your niche from day one. If your niche is social media, then be like Michael Stelzner of socialmediaexaminer.com and start producing quality content on that topic.

Is your niche passive income? You could be like Pat Flynn (smartpassiveincome.com) and build a raving community around that niche.

What about blogging for money like John Chow? You know what to do. Or content marketing like me, let your content be directed towards a specific group of people who would grow to like, trust and buy from you.

You’ve to prove yourself first, before your audience can walk you down the aisle.

Content + marketing = BIG money    make BIG money Blogging

There is no single day I don’t make at least $50 from my blog.

The reason isn’t far-fetched. My niche is specific and even my newest reader can tell others about it.

It’s time you set your priorities and decide the audience you want to build.

You don’t need everybody on your blog, because content marketing weeds out strangers and drives the right people to you.

Begin to give content marketing a chance. Study your readers to know why they frequent your blog. Have you been able to meet their needs?

If you waste more time, another savvy blogger can grab what you’ve labored for.

Traditional advertising is pushy. It tends to cajole people to do what they don’t want to do. On the other hand, effective content marketing reads people’s mind and serves the right meal.

Do you know your granny so well?

I know bloggers and affiliate marketers who launched their e-books but couldn’t break even. In other words, they failed woefully. Because they didn’t know what the target audience is looking to buy.

Are you sure e-books would do well with your readers? What about wordpress plugins, themes, membership sites or e-course?

You can’t tell for sure, until you test and test some more. I’ve so much to say about content marketing because it’s what you need to grow a profitable blog, in this dynamic World Wide Web.

But I’d leave that for next time. Quickly: Are you embracing content marketing as the solution that can help you make BIG money online? You could hire me to do it for you. Share your comment below… Thanks for your time.

“Content + marketing = BIG money”

There is no doubt that, this is correct.

But the problem is most new bloggers think that,

    Blog+One night= 100$.

That is the problem. Every bloggers should know that blogging is the long process.

Good post, John…once you know your audience, I do believe the biggest component is consistency. Even with a successful blog, how to make money other than with AdSense is the question…

Michael your posts on this blog are becoming really valuable. You’ve boiled it down nicely. First you need quality unique content, that delivers value. Next you need to make people aware of this content by marketing the ‘hell’ out of it. It reminds me of an interview Will Smith did on UK TV when he was aksed why he spends so much time signing autographs at the Leceister Square premier of his latest film. He said, making the movie is just half the equation, the other half is marketing it.

  10. Thanks for the great advice Michael.
It can be easy to fall into the trap of writing for the search engines and trying to over optimise. Keeping the content and readers as the main priority will lead to long term success.

I so much liked granny part in your article. That completely explains the concept of target audience.

  12. Hi,

    Thanks – interesting post.

I understand that you need to do things to get a lot of visitors to your site. So where, then do you actually earn revenue from: advertising, selling self-help books, other business opportunities through your profile being rasied etc?

Would be interested to hear your response.

    James

  13. Great info! When blogging, patience is a virtue.

    Thanks!

  14. Hi Michael,

I would say that it is one of the best article I have read so far on Content Marketing.
Your story about your Grandmom was sufficient to explain the core objective.
Thanks a lot for such a meaningful article.
