I said I was going to do a video draw but scheduling conflicted prevented 1234Pens.com and myself from meeting up. Therefore, I just asked 1234Pens.com to draw a name from the bucket. And the winner is…

A little off-topic, john the auctionAds are giving an error all over the place. If you don’t already know, is just to inform.
It looks like the AuctionAds site is down. Maybe shoemoney forgot to pay the hosting bill.

Maybe eBay shut them down because they were approaching the top tier of payouts?
I doubt ebay shut them down, he says on his blog they were moving servers so that’s probably why.
Yep, probably that. But it’s the second time in a short period of time. I wonder if the servers are reliable for that kind of traffic.
Servers are the bane of any new online entity. It’s all fine and dandy when you’re just getting a few thousand people a day, but when you scale up like they have you’re dealing with different requirements and the host you’re dealing with might not be able to deliver the goods. Then you have to switch… That can be miserable…
Marc or John, any advice on how to ramp up to make a clean switch? I expect a few thousand visits a day by the end of the month.

Yeah, John lays out the rules pretty clearly in his contest posts. He said they’d be random draws.
The only spot where he’s ever leaned towards bloggers who update often with good content is when he features some articles from the community.
