I'll ask Google to clear it up. Keep in mind, the answer they give me may not be the answer they give you.

John - hmm, from what I understand from http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/12/ad-and-image-placement-policy.html it seems that this kind of image placement may not be entirely compliant. Quoted from the adsense blog: "(visitors) may click the ad expecting to find something that isn't actually being offered".

Is it possible that your visitor click on the ad expecting a Bose headphone being offered there?

Daniel - No, the image I used is allowed. It's not a random picture, it's the actual product being reviewed.

Now that the AdSense Team has clarified that images next to ads are basically not allowed, let's see how long it takes for all the example sites above to become compliant. :)

John, are you going to move the Bose headphone away?

I hate to dispell the myth that I'm a genius John, but do you know, the whole boy pointing to the AdWords ad was an accident? Yep, I implemented the new boy/blackboard template and then I was looking for a logical place to put the AdSense code and tried it in a few places before it struck me that the ruler could point to it! Voila, the genius revealed.

This trick is amazing, I saw it before, I never thought it can make such a big difference.

Page CTR got to 20.69% to one of my sites where I added the images.

I hope is ok with Google's TOS.

I have just set up a website about self help and spirituality, I am trying to structure my site to bettermake use of my google adsense ads.

I am still new at wordpress so, am struggling a little with it, but would appreciate it if I could get an evaluation of it from some of you pros.

I am not greedy with revenue, would like to build the site to $80.00 a day revenue.

Great article and Thanks
