I appreciate that North Americans do this far more than most other parts of the world but I think you're just a) lazy in the kitchen and b) got the cash to splash. I challenge you to go a month without eating out for dinner. Buy a cook book or go on a cooking course or something. Then from 1st September to 1st October, do not eat out for social reasons (business doesn't count). I bet you'll bank about $2000 minimum. Notice how that neatly covers your car insurance? (which by the way is WAY too much. Why it is so high??)
