The Quicker You Go, The Less The Hair Will Blow

written by John Chow on May 18th, 2007

Tiff Needell, the host of Fifth Gear, had this theory about the Bentley Continental GTC: the faster you go with the roof stowed, the less wind enters the cabin. To test his theory, he took the drop top Bentley, put two lovely ladies in the back seat and blast down the runway at 150MPH. Then he ran out of runway and ended up in the dirt. What happen to the hair on his female passengers? Watch the video and find out.

It seems ‘John Chow’ is a very popular name now around the internet. On Google and many blogs!
We can all learn from him a great deal.

Absolutely fantastic. Only 150,000 pounds huh?

When are you picking one up John. Should be pocket change by now.

Start a campaign to help you get one?

Love the ladies! 00Chow

If he fumbled a little bit more behind the wheel it would’ve become a very expensive FAILED experiment LOL.

That must mean that you have to go 200mph, right?

I guess it means that no matter how fast you’re going, you’re still gonna mess up your locks in the wind unless you put the top on and close the windows LOL.

My CEO has 2 of those Continental Sedans.. each were about $250,000.

Fun video though, car report type shows should do more things like that ;)

My favorite episode was when they were racing through the American South with the three cars and the hillbillies were going to lynch them.

Reminds me of Monty Python and the search for the Holy Grail where the knight gets captured by those women and they come to “rescue” him.

“You couldn’t handle it”
“I… I’d like to give it a shot”

I think he’s at Brighton Airport as a mate of mine who works for Ricardo Engineering did the final engine testing of the Bentley turbo there. He had to do it at 2am when the airport was shut.

We had the car for the weekend once, which was nice…..

If you’ve ever had dirt in your wind-blown hair, you pretty much know what the two girls felt in that video LOL.
