Charlie Cook

Charlie Cook, the man who wrote The New Profit Rules, is back with the secrets to social media marketing. Charlie has assemble eight social media experts to teach you exactly how to leverage the power of social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook for make more money for your business.

So here’s how we developed this program. Recently I had a Tele-Seminar Event where I put each of these 8 experts on the “Hot-Seat” and had them reveal strategies, formulas, tips and tricks that their clients have paid large sums of money to discover.

Each one of these training sessions is about an hour long and you can listen to them in their entirety on MP3 for each of the eight training calls.

In addition to these eight MP3s you’ll also be getting eight transcripts of each interview so you’ll have all this information at your fingertips.

List of Speakers and Topics

  • Carrie Wilkerson – Where To Focus Your Social Media Marketing To Rapidly Expand Traffic and Profits
  • Jan Vermerien – The Quick and Easy LinkedIn Tactics For Building Your Online Network of Hot Contacts and Leads
  • Paul Dunay – How to Use Facebook to Attract New and Repeat Business and to Grow Their Annual Revenue
  • Jack Humphrey – The Fastest Way to Attract More Prospects to Your Business With Your Blog
  • Ryan Healy – How to Create a Killer Blog That Builds Credibility and Profits
  • Kyle Lacy – The Top Ways to Use Twitter to Dominate Your Market
  • Warren Whitlock – Advanced Twitter Marketing Strategies Guaranteed to Boost Business Revenue
  • Perry Lawrence – Video Marketing Made So Easy Anyone Can Do It

I’ve been listening to the MP3s for the past few days and so far, it’s been really good and extremely informative. I especially like the ideas Jack Humphrey presented for using a blog to attract prospects to your business. The video marketing module from Perry Lawrence was also very good.

Because everything is in MP3 format, you can load it into your iPhone/iPod and play it whenever you want. For me, it’s generally at the gym when I’m on the elliptical trainer. A PDF transcript is included for those who like to read. In addition to the main eight speakers, The Secrets To Social Media Marketing includes a bunch of free bonuses. There’s a 65 page eBook on how to profit from social media plus six other social media money-making resources.

Social media is one of the driving forces behind my marketing strategy. It’s also one of the most cost effective because it many case, it doesn’t cost anything. All boggers, Internet marketers and business people need to learn and use social media and The Secrets To Social Media Marketing is a good place to start. In addition to the free bonuses, Charlie is offering a $100 discount on his program. The Secrets To Social Media Marketing is also backed by a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. it’s worth checking out.

Not so long ago the buzz word was SEO now it’s social media …next it is mobile marketing… My question is simple.. is it not better to be good at ONE thing master it and leverage it then add something else…

Profit Addiction June 17, 2010 at 4:52 pm

That or have a team with members that have a variety of skill-sets to leverage the power of each ‘platform’ individually

PPC Ian June 17, 2010 at 6:06 pm

I agree with Profit Addiction. Also, I’ve found that once you master one channel, such as PPC, it’s far easier to learn the others.

d3so June 17, 2010 at 7:22 pm

This is what hinders me from success. When people keep pushing the next big thing I never get to implement what I’ve learned because here I am learning the next thing.

PPC Ian June 17, 2010 at 9:32 pm

d3so,
In my opinion, I think you should completely master every aspect of blogging. I think you are definitely on your way to the big time and really seem to have what it takes. The recent enhancements to your blog show a lot of dedication and expertise in the field (I’ve definitely been learning a thing or two just by watching your enhancements). Moreover, the posts are always interesting. In short, I think you are getting close to becoming a master blogger.
All the best,
Ian

Ricardo June 18, 2010 at 12:25 pm

Most of the time people master one thing and might be able to leverage other platform after …. it is very to be overwhelm ..

Exposed SEO June 17, 2010 at 8:21 pm

you can be successful using either SEO or social media or a combination of both. it doesn’t hurt to throw out a few things, find out what’s working and then focus on that.

Peter Jay June 17, 2010 at 11:02 pm

Definitely! Why we must focus on one technique if we can apply of all? I do agree with you. Maybe we should go for another new way before it’s become more popular.. :)

Ricardo June 18, 2010 at 12:29 pm

is it better to be good at one thing or average at everything? that’s the real question….

d3so June 19, 2010 at 12:35 am

It’s better to take things one step @ a time. Be an expert at one thing then move on to the next.
I’m average at everything and it’s getting me NOWHERE!

College To Careers June 17, 2010 at 9:31 pm

This…Be good at one before moving on to the next thing. Once you have mastered social media, move to seo or vise versa.

Email List Building June 17, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Hi John,

I recognize some names there so I think it may indeed be good.

But as you yourself have said, there are other more powerful ways of marketing so I’ll put my focus on the most potent one for now.

Vance

Josh Maruks P June 17, 2010 at 5:49 pm

Looking forward to this! will be great to learn it all.

Addy Kho June 17, 2010 at 6:38 pm

There are too many for us to digest at one time I think. I think best if one can concentrate on one strategy and move to another after mastering it.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog June 19, 2010 at 11:02 pm

Or another better way is outsourcing.

Web Yazilim Tasarim June 21, 2010 at 9:58 am

Yeah outsourcing can be extremely valuable :)

Lee Ka Hoong June 22, 2010 at 10:57 pm

Outsourcing would be good, but in term of knowledge, you may not be able to learn the thing if you outsource it all the time. Unless you know the things very well but you don’t have time to do that, outsourcing would be good. ;)

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog July 4, 2010 at 8:34 pm

Well you can not do everything yourself.

If you want to get a software … will you outsource that one or learn every code yourself and than outsource ?

College To Careers June 17, 2010 at 10:49 pm

Not sure if it’s just me, but i haven’t really heard of these people before…am i the only one?

Nabeel | Create Your First Website June 18, 2010 at 12:45 am

Yup I haven’t heard of them either. But then again, I haven’t been in the internet marketing scene for long.

Nabeel

P.S. John, typo in post:

“because it many case, it doesn’t cost anything.”

d3so June 18, 2010 at 1:05 am

I too haven’t heard of these people. It doesn’t hurt to give it a shot. The content is convieniently on mp3 & pdf plus money back guarantee is offered if you aren’t satisfied.

Irish Garden Home June 18, 2010 at 11:38 pm

Count me in in the group of “never heard of them”, I had a quick look at the link and $197 is a very steep price for this “offer”. The other thing that bothered me was that, as soon as I opened the website, some audio/video played at me, making me leave immediately. If there is anything what I hate on the www than it is autoplay-anything, SY

d3so June 19, 2010 at 12:39 am

I agree, I hate autoplays & autoloads of media.
I’m thinking about ripping the course, anybody wanna join me? ;)

College To Careers June 19, 2010 at 1:01 pm

yeah, that instant video thing kills me too…i usually don’t return to those sites to be honest.

College To Careers June 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm

lol…ok, so i’m not feeling too bad for being the only one

BBB June 18, 2010 at 4:11 am

Very well said, its hard to find quality post now adays. I believe authors should have a keen understanding on every articles published. Thank you for sharing

Irish Garden Home June 18, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Lol, did you even bother to read the blog post? Perhaps commentators should also have a keen understanding of the articles they comment on? SY

Insurance Izzy June 18, 2010 at 9:53 am

Sounds like a pretty interesting group of lectures. If John finds them helpful, they must be good right? I just don’t know how well I would do listening to those. I’m more of a visual learner. But it definitely looks like some helpful advice!

mondex1 June 18, 2010 at 4:59 pm

I agree with you BBB. They need to master what they are trying to share to their listeners. :)

psychicjim June 18, 2010 at 9:00 pm

Google Supremacy June 18, 2010 at 9:18 pm

Social Media used to be the new hot thing, now everybody is using it. I wonder when it will wear off.

Irish Garden Home June 20, 2010 at 1:06 pm

It already has, related semantic content is the next big thing, something what we add for free and fun to John’s blog with our comments, SY

Bluebird Sports Report June 19, 2010 at 2:41 pm

Facebook marketing is amazing. My blog was the #2 fastest growing Wordpress blog yesterday :D All thanks to Facebook :)

Watch Movies Online June 19, 2010 at 8:23 pm

If you use RSS feed on your facebook site then you can get mad traffic flowing in, and those traffic are usually your friends and thier freinds (depends on your privacy settings)

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog June 19, 2010 at 10:40 pm

So many seminars and so many classes.

Now seems to me that every one is GURU and no one is student … lolllzz

But he is impressive no doubt about this.

essence June 22, 2010 at 4:30 am

try to provide people that they want instead of imposing your thing on them…i think this is the main thing.

anxiety June 22, 2010 at 9:05 pm

wow… nothing is better than this….. except for john blog off course :-)

Hosting Unlimited Bandwidth June 22, 2010 at 10:43 pm

I have invested so much time and money in SEO that it is hard to think of anything else. However, I am ready for a change. The challenge is how to do it right. I have purchased a few Clickbank products explaining it but I think I am brain-dead. Thanks for the recommended reading.

Barry Wheeler June 23, 2010 at 6:58 am

Same old crap being regurgitated by John Chow once again! Does this man ever NOT promote something to make himself a few dollars???

Google Supremacy June 29, 2010 at 1:46 pm

I think you may be a little out of line here, don’t you think? The man is providing content and if you don’t like or don’t need that content than don’t use it. No one is making you do anything you don’t want.

I would suggest you keep your eyes on the money your are making and stop looking and what others are making.

d3so June 18, 2010 at 1:02 am

Thanks Ian! Honestly, after awhile I lose the drive to keep going with my blog. I’ve been attempting to blog for close to 3 years now. Comments by you & others really inspire me and keep me moving forward. I know I’ll make it just as long as I have support.
Thanks for your words of encouragement :)

Web Yazilim Tasarim June 22, 2010 at 2:05 am

I agree d3so. Just focus on mastering every aspect. With a little bit patience, you’ll be on your way to big time ;)

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog June 19, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Be the Good which is in trend …

Read … read and read

Irish Garden Home June 20, 2010 at 1:04 pm

Ripping copyrighted content can get you in REAL trouble, especially if you announce your intentions so publicly. SY

Web Yazilim Tasarim June 21, 2010 at 2:51 am

Indeed. Watching trends is also as important as becoming good at them. You gotta keep up :)

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog July 4, 2010 at 8:27 pm

That is the main mantra of every success. Be update.
