The World’s First Twitterview

Twitterview

I’ve just completed the what is believed to the the world’s first Twitterview – an interview done exclusively on Twitter with questions and answer that are no longer than 140 characters. The idea was the brainchild of Carl Ocab, who was just sitting around doing nothing when the idea came to him.

What if I do an interview on Twitter LIVE – people are hooked on Twitter, it’s not time consuming (No scheduling, no fancy audio recording, etc.), it’s VERY candid, and it’s fun (Doing an interview in 140 characters or less is something!)

Those of you who were following both myself and Carl would have saw the Twitterview go down live. For those who missed it, here’s a taste of how it went:

kidblogger: @JohnChow What’s the main reason you started JohnChow.com?

JohnChow: @kidblogger I got tired of staring at my photo that was on the site for the past five years when it was just a site and not a blog.

You can check out the full Twitterview over at Carl’s blog. I wonder what other Twitter first will we be seeing this year?

I am going to give this a shot myself too!

Hey, great idea...now we can really ask those questions that has been stuck in our brains. Probably this may be a start of a fun way to interview other people.

There you go again, JC- blazing trails! That's why I admire and envy you! YOU DOT COM MOGUL!

With Twitter becoming one of the most popular ways to keep up to date in real time what your collegues are doing, this is a GREAT idea. Maybe you can be the winner of next year’s Shorty Award that honors the most popular Twitter users. Tweet when you are planning another interview, I would love to join.

Carl never fails to amaze me...from ranking #1 for "make money online" to this, he really knows what to make into a viral activity.

This is very clever! I really like the idea and I would like to Twitterview you Mr. Chow? Could we set something up you think? If your interested please twitter me @bloggerinstinct

This is quite an interesting idea. I know Twitter seems to be on everyone's mind and this year will see much more interesting stuff on Twitter.

Peter Lee

Better late than never.Try it.

I am supposed to make a blog post about this because I was there when it was ongoing but I guess it's late now.

Twitter colour wars? oh wait....

PS. where's my new tv :P

Did I offer you a new TV? When?

ahhh only time will tell what the next innovation twitter will produce...as annoying as Twitter is, its one of those must have tools lol.

Can it become any more stupid? But jumping on a moving train is always a good idea.

Twitter is just amazing and its growing very fast!! I love Twitter! :D

Wahooo, another sighting of my twitter bird illustration :P!

I just love twitter.

That's an interesting concept. You guys are creative!

That's a great idea guys! And an interesting twitterview. I never thought of such a way to use Twitter

It's amazing what Twitter can be used for. I always see some people comparing it to Facebook's update feature, but if they only knew...

Great Stuff John

Really sorry that I missed this one - there are some fantastic things happening on Twitter at the moment and this looks like it was one of them.

Kelly

That´s very nice.I have just started using Twitter and it seems to be very popular.

Well, good work. But concerning the term "world’s first interview exclusively on twitter" i am sorry, that i have to tell you that german blogger Robert Basic already did an twitter-interview with a politician about a month ago:

Just what i wanted to say ;)

Nice idea but how easy was it to follow?

Hey John

Is there an add on that will let me use a Flip as a webcam?

-Sarah

Not that I know of. I've always used the built in iSight camera in my MacBook for the webcam.

That's interesting. I've always wondered about using Twitter for something like this. I do celebrity interviews, but they're always done the other ways.

John, Great stuff as always, thanks for following me on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/ModernPainter, I was surprised and honored,
Gabriel

Very cool concept! Makes perfect sense really...why not leverage the power of Twitter to make a more interactive interview experience.

John, you just stated a new trend! I caught part of the Twiterview live but didn't realize it was an interview.

I can't wait to go one, about my niche.

Nice way to get more followers! :P

Thats a genius idea, I am sure many more will follow after that :)

I think they will, its very interesting been able to watch a live interview.

Twitter sure is spreading like a virus. and I agree mubin there should be questions.

He should have asked alot more questions. i think they're were only 5?

There's more than that.

Yes I think 5 or something like that is too short, but being at Twitter maybe is like a 30 or more questions outside Twitter.

Twitter is spreading like a virus

Agreed :) Crazy world we live in :P

Thats is another reason to join twitter, really expanding beyond limits.

hahahaha Josten, I never heard it described in that way but it's so true!
