This Video was Shot with a Bunch of Webcams

written by John Chow on July 5th, 2009

This music video was shot for Sour’s Hibi no Neiro (Tone of everyday) from their first mini album Water Flavor EP. The cast were selected from the actual Sour fan base, from many countries around the world. Each person and scene was filmed purely with a webcam. The end result is pretty amazing and must have taken weeks of editing. One thing for sure, it’s not an editing that I would want to do!

Director: Masashi Kawamura + Hal Kirkland + Magico Nakamura + Masayoshi Nakamura

That’s remarkable. Some tricks in there that I wouldn’t even think are possible. The cross webcam waving I thought was very cool.

  4. That was a very impressive video. Must have taken these guys quite a while to film some of those scenes with people moving from a web cam to another one and such. Very cool.

Wow, That is one of the coolest edits I’ve ever seen. It’s always fun to see something new and refreshing. I’d like to try something like that someday. (on a smaller scale of course) Thanks for posting it.

  23. Wow! I love it! You know I have an aptitude for this creative field. I sometimes have to edit graphic and audio files for my class presentations when I was in school. And I always know I could do video too. The only thing that’s keeping me off are is the exorbitant price of the required software.

I can imagine the fun the video artists and editors must have while doing this.
