Tickle Me Elmo TMX

Yes, Sarah bought a Tidkle Me Elmo TMX for Sally and I have to admit, the thing is pretty funny and makes me laugh pretty hard. I never grew up with Elmo because he didn’t exist when I was a kid. I grew up with Grover and Cookie Monster. Enjoy the video of Elmo in action.

    That thing’s awesome.

    1. You can say that again, does anyone remember the original tickle me elmo? ❗

My little sister got one (grandpa had to wait 3 hours in line at Toys R Us to make it happen). They definitely aren’t as cool as these new ones, but still were awesome!

      1. Jane May says:

I remember the lines for these things were ridiculous that first year…sold out everywhere!

        1. I remember that – was’t it right before Christmas?

        2. That’s pretty awesome and I do agree that it is pretty funny. I haven’t seen the TMX in action yet, so this was a good glimpse. Thanks for posting. 🙂

    2. I bet the Tickle people are making some money. Let us know when you can’t stand it anymore and remove the batteries.

I found it cute and funny to watch it once. I’m thinking it would get old by the 3rd time, and by the 10th time or so, I’d be filming the video of me throwing the Elmo TMX off a high building.

Or … I guess taking out the batteries would work too 😉

        1. That’s what I though – “It does all that everytime?!!?!?

      2. Jane May says:

Especially for being seen on Chow’s site.

  2. Live TV Free says:

that’s gotta get annoying after a while!

    1. Jane May says:

I was kinda thinking the same thing…maybe after a week or 2 of hearing that laugh I’d shove it in the closet for a while 😆

      1. A week?! Try an hour! Trust me, I have two kids… these things get old fast!

    2. Marc says:

I’m with you there. It is cute at first, but after a while… Kids will never get sick of it either. They’ll just keep making laugh over and over and over and over and over and…

      1. Jane May says:

I can picture it now, what a nightmare!!! How do you handle it John???

        1. Remove the batteries – that’s what I do!

  3. Carl says:

I’m surprized that doesn’t scare the shit out of Sally 😆

    1. Brad says:

It seemed natural until it erected itself off of it’s stomach. I know it scares me. 😯

      1. Ed Lau says:

        I KNOW! That’s exactly what I thought.

        Can’t sleep…Elmo will eat me…

  4. Jose says:

That was pretty funny, It would have been pretty cool to have on of those when I was little :), unfortunatelly i had to play monkeys.

    1. Jane May says:

I think I would have liked something that i’d be able to play with. I don’t know if I would have been able to just stand and watch.

    2. MONKEYS?!?!?! That would have been dangerous! 😉

      1. Dave says:

You mean the popular game “A Barrel of monkeys”? Or the poo flinging jungle type? 🙂

          1. Dave says:

Haha, Sea Monkeys…I almost forgot about those things. I got some when I was just a kid once. They didn’t ‘work’ though.

  5. Aris says:

Did you send a bill to them for this free promotion John? 😈

    1. Jason says:

Not quite a full review, but with the number of views this post is getting … it would seem fair.

Or you could ask for some free Elmo TMX to donate to a local charity?

  6. Scott says:

Our 2 year old likes Grover better than Elmo, so we have been able to avoid Tickle Me Elmo so far.

    1. Marc says:

Good for your 2 year old!

      1. Groover was always my favorite too… Elmo is annoying.

  7. Eli says:

    Nooooooooooooo! Elmo is evil 😛

Anyone seen Tickle me Emo? 😉

    1. Jon Lee says:

Hahha I haven’t, do you have a link?

    2. Dave Saraiva says:

Yes! I’ve seen it, it was hilarious!:)

if anyone else wants to check it out!

  8. My son was all about Elmo then all of a sudden it became the Wiggles. The worst part about it is I go around singing “Fruit salad yummy yummy” in my head all day.

    1. Stephanie says:

Hahaha, my sister walks around singing that, thanks to her 2-year-old daughter. The kiddo made me watch Elmo’s world with her the other night, I thought I might go crazy after a whole half hour of him referring to himself in the third person!

      1. Gosh.. Sesame Street never did died out, did it? I know Teletubies did!

        1. Aren’t they still making the Teletubies?

  9. ilker says:

  10. Miriguy says:

That’s the most interesting and funny toy i have seen from Sesame Street. Hehe!

  11. Jane May says:

WOW, I’ve never seen one of those in action. Wow was it coordinated. So life like gestures and corresponding laughter…That was awesome!!

  12. Phil says:

    That made me smile 🙂

  13. Dax Desai says:

Yeah I wonder why they don’t have an Oscar the Grouch? I’m still waiting for the rude-commenting garbage can-inhabiting doll.

My niece got one. It is freaking hillarious (not to mention scary). I think it may be alive after a few drinks.

  14. Sonia says:

I feel these googly eyes won’t let me sleep at night 🙄

I saw first Elmo 12 years ago. I remember that, because it was my senior year at the university. I didn’t buy one, but everyone was so head over heels with them. Elmos came a long way since then. This one is the best!

  15. Ah.. Reminds me of my childhood days. 😀 Talking and giggling, that’s what Elmo does best!

  16. Cody says:

Haha…a lady I work with bought one of these in December of eBay for like $100 or something. It was pretty entertaining 😉

  17. betshopboy says:

haha…that was funny! They made the movement so life-like.

  18. Ashish Mohta says:

LMAO lol this was really funny.hahahaha.JC you got a gift that will make u laugh even if your earnings drop sometimes lol

  19. Very Funny, I can’t wait to have children so I can play with the toys too 😯

  20. that is pretty funny!! just remembering my childhood 🙂

  21. Fabian says:

That thing is amazing, where did you buy it??

      1. Jane May says:

        Makes sense 😀

          1. Dave says:

Yes, it’s a conspiracy. They may LOOK like friendly little children’s toys, but they are actually evil death robots that will take over the world once distribution reaches critical mass.

  22. Marc says:

All these people remembering tickle me Elmo from their childhood is making me feel old… Like John, I was long past my Sesame Street phase by the time it came around. I was a big fan of Cookie Monster, Ernie and Bert. I also credit Sesame Street for teaching me English when I was a very young.

  23. zaki says:

    Ha ha…so cute….I enjoyed it. My kids enjoyed it too….Nice… 😕 😀

  24. Dave says:

They never had toys like this when I was a kid 🙂 Had to rely on your imagination.

  25. Michael says:

Our daughter is 5. She is into technology like me. Nintendo DS, using my computer, stuff like that. One day she might be an internet marketer. 🙂

    1. Aris says:

Good for you Michael. I can’t say anything about little kids, since no one left. 😆

    2. My kids too, they take classes in their elementary school: Internet, Office OS’s…

  26. Technology these days! It looks almost natural the way it roll around on the floor. That’s crazy! 😯

  27. I think it would scare some young children…at first I thought it was going to just laugh..then it start rolling and balling and swinging its arms!…and then got up off of its stomach …I was like what the [email protected] 😐

  28. Techno says:

My kids really like Elmo.I waiting for 2 hours to get them all.The best part of my kids life!

    1. Jane May says:

Same thing with my nieces…they can’t get enough of Elmo…good thing I don’t live with them.

  29. thats kind of funny.

isn’t elmo the evil spawn of the cookie monster and big bird 😯

  30. I find that thing almost as creepy as clowns… *shudder* 🙁 some things just aren’t natural… and perpetual smiling faces and things that never stop laughing are included on that list.

  31. FayZ says:

nice elmo john..nice thing to play with..have u seen a “tickle me barney” yet?it’s already out in china through this alibaba website 🙂

  32. Dave says:

Tickle me BARNEY? Okay…that’s just creepy.

  33. Were those the ones that were selling for a lot of money on ebay?

  34. That thing is somewhat creepy.

  35. Jeff says:

I agree, was a good toy the first time but that is just plan creepy

  36. Aren’t these things amazing. The motion just crack me up. The laughing motions are just great. Nothing beats the “lying on your stomach while beating the floor” laugh. What is also pretty cool are those Robosapions.

  37. I bought one as a gift last Christmas, but I must’ve tried it out a hundred times myself — hilarious!
