Tickle Me Elmo TMX

written by John Chow on March 23rd, 2007

Yes, Sarah bought a Tidkle Me Elmo TMX for Sally and I have to admit, the thing is pretty funny and makes me laugh pretty hard. I never grew up with Elmo because he didn’t exist when I was a kid. I grew up with Grover and Cookie Monster. Enjoy the video of Elmo in action.

You can say that again, does anyone remember the original tickle me elmo? :!:

My little sister got one (grandpa had to wait 3 hours in line at Toys R Us to make it happen). They definitely aren’t as cool as these new ones, but still were awesome!

That’s pretty awesome and I do agree that it is pretty funny. I haven’t seen the TMX in action yet, so this was a good glimpse. Thanks for posting. :)

Thanks,

I bet the Tickle people are making some money. Let us know when you can’t stand it anymore and remove the batteries.

I found it cute and funny to watch it once. I’m thinking it would get old by the 3rd time, and by the 10th time or so, I’d be filming the video of me throwing the Elmo TMX off a high building.

Or … I guess taking out the batteries would work too

I’m with you there. It is cute at first, but after a while… Kids will never get sick of it either. They’ll just keep making laugh over and over and over and over and over and…

Not quite a full review, but with the number of views this post is getting … it would seem fair.

Or you could ask for some free Elmo TMX to donate to a local charity?

My son was all about Elmo then all of a sudden it became the Wiggles. The worst part about it is I go around singing “Fruit salad yummy yummy” in my head all day.

Reply to this comment
Stephanie said on March 24th, 2007 at 1:28 am

Hahaha, my sister walks around singing that, thanks to her 2-year-old daughter. The kiddo made me watch Elmo’s world with her the other night, I thought I might go crazy after a whole half hour of him referring to himself in the third person!

Yeah I wonder why they don’t have an Oscar the Grouch? I’m still waiting for the rude-commenting garbage can-inhabiting doll.

My niece got one. It is freaking hillarious (not to mention scary). I think it may be alive after a few drinks.

I saw first Elmo 12 years ago. I remember that, because it was my senior year at the university. I didn’t buy one, but everyone was so head over heels with them. Elmos came a long way since then. This one is the best!

All these people remembering tickle me Elmo from their childhood is making me feel old… Like John, I was long past my Sesame Street phase by the time it came around. I was a big fan of Cookie Monster, Ernie and Bert. I also credit Sesame Street for teaching me English when I was a very young.
