Deng Xiaoping

“To get rich is glorious” Those were the words China’s then leader, Deng Xiaoping (above), said nearly three decades ago. Deng is no longer leader but his words rang loud and clear. Today, China is getting rich. The country has over 300,000 citizens with net worth of over $1 million US, excluding property. And mainland millionaires control some $530 billion in assets.

What does this mean to us? Nothing most likley. But since there has been so much news about China’s rise and Deng’s immortal quote, I decided to register ToGetRichIsGlorious.com. I don’t know if I’ll do anything with the domain however. Right now it points to this blog.

Maybe I’ll write an eBook on getting rich and use the domain to market it. :)

I think its a great idea. To take something that is popular and be able to apply it to a business model (selling an ebook) is smart business. Finds like this keeps me reading your blog John.

Getting rich is just a goal a lot of people strive for.
