Seems like a no-brainer on a price that low.. thanks for the trial price, will give it a try.

  3. sapna says:

    HI John

The trial price is really cool to start with but my concern is whether I’m the right fit for this? Whether my blog fits into the scheme of things Matt Suggests?
What exactly I need to do to achieve the goals? Whether this concept works in India?

    hmmm….I have so many questions.

    1. John Chow says:

The nice thing about making money online is it works from anywhere in the world. And the nice thing about MIC is you get to ask any questions you want it will get answered. Try it for 7 days and if it’s not what you need, then cancel it. No harm, no foul.

      1. Zubin Kutar says:

Yes this is quite attractive offer and you will be able to clear your all doubts about internet marketing.

  9. Greg Hunter says:

Hi John, I have been blogging for over a year. I’m always a little nervous about giving my C.C. # out. I have downloaded your book and haven’t had much success with it, do to my lack of tech skills. Why do you recomend MIC? Is it the best way to start a online business in your opinion? Just want to make sure before I sign up.

    1. John Chow says:

MIC is a priviate coaching program. It’s the best way to get the questions that applied to you answered. Because of the size of my audience, I have to make blog posts and eBook applied to a large number of people, and can’t zero in on just one person.

      1. Greg Hunter says:

        Thanks for the quick response!

  10. Rebecca says:

I’ve tired to send you emails before and you didn’t get.
How do i know you will get it this time?

  11. Emmet says:

Hey John, have you considered the legality of this contest? Contests are required by law to be “no purchase necessary”, otherwise it’s deemed to be an illegal lottery. If people have to pay for the trial in order to receive their entries that’s a lottery.

    1. John Chow says:

No, what I’m doing is perfectly legal. And contest by law does not have to be “no purchase necessary”. This isn’t a contest either. This is a bonus offer. Your bonus is entries. Think of it this way. If I say I will give you a lottery ticket if you sign up for a 7 trial, it’s no diff than the bonus giving you access to my Facebook group. Your bonus is the entries to a draw. Also keep in mind that my blog is not based in the US and therefore no subjected to US lottery rules.

      1. Emmet says:

Not only is this an illegal lottery, but it’s governed by criminal law in Canada, not civil law, so I would seriously suggest following up with a lawyer before proceeding with this. Some notes on the laws in Canada:

“In addition to the promotional contest provisions in the Competition Act, the federal Criminal Code also governs the operation of contests in Canada. Section 206 contains certain lottery related offences, while section 207 provides certain exceptions. Generally speaking, the Criminal Code makes it a criminal offence to operate illegal lotteries, as defined and set out by the offences under section 206.

At common law, illegal lotteries had been defined as consisting of: (i) a prize, (ii) chance and (iii) consideration (i.e., something of value provided by contestants as a condition for eligibility or participation).”

        So to break it down:
1)There is a prize (MacBook Air)
2)There is an element of chance (only one person can win the computer)
3)There is consideration (people have to pay for a chance to win the computer)

It is clearly an illegal lottery under Canadian law. I’m sure the laws are quite similar in the US.

I’m not bringing this up to be a jerk, I’m bringing it up because (a) what you’re doing is illegal and frankly a little shady, and (b) I don’t think you’re doing it with any bad intentions, I just think you’re ill informed, so you deserve a warning before instead of just getting in trouble after.

        1. John Chow says:

I really don’t want to waste too much time on this. I just wanted to give a Macbook away to a reader. But I also don’t want to break the law as well. So I’ll make this simple. Everyone is allowed to enter, no purchase required. Just reply to this post and you’re entered. However, those who signed up for the trial will get their additional enteies.

          1. Emmet says:

You don’t seem to get it. All the other bonuses are totally fine to offer, because the people get access to them in return for payment no matter what. The contest for the MacBook Air however, is considered a “game of luck” because their is a chance that they don’t win it (ie not everyone gets one). That is gambling (a lottery) and is illegal.

If you were running a no-purchase necessary contest where you were trying to boost your email subscriber numbers with hopes of upselling them on the backend or something like that, that would be perfectly legal. But you’re getting people to pay money in return for a better chance at winning because you want to make more money yourself. Don’t act like you’re doing your readership some sort of favour by giving this away, that would be disingenuous.

This is not only illegal but also pretty unethical, the fact that you don’t seem to see the issue here is alarming. You SERIOUSLY need to talk to a lawyer about this.

  12. Life Blogger says:

Yeah, I think this counts as a lottery. It almost comes off as dishonest John, I expect more from someone like you.

    John –

I have purchased the trial, but have not received an invoice even though I have received login information. Please advise on what to send to receive my 10 entries?

    Thank you,

  21. Robert Teng says:

I wish i could win the Macbook Air, but the point is to learn something which work in the 10 days trial. Making money from it is the main point. Macbook Air is second isn’t it? However, I hope I can get both in it. Cross finger….

    Still a student ๐Ÿ™‚
