It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to take some time off and take a trip. This is one of the perks of being a dot com mogul – taking off at the spur of the moment. So we got in the car and headed off to Tulip Town at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! Why? I don’t know! Because it was there I guess. If you have ever wanted to see miles upon miles of Tulips, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a great place to do it!
So we get to one of the big Tulip fields and low and below we are the only two cars there! I guess people have to work for a living on the weekdays. Parking was $2.00 per car but the attendant didn’t brother asking us for the money.
Tulips as far as the eye can see. These were just the reds. There are also fields for like three dozen other colors.
My apprentice photographer goes in for the close-up. OK, he’s not really mine. He belongs to my next door neighbor, who came with us on this Tulip run.
After I found out that these Tulips sell in stores for up $4 each, I had to help myself to a few. However, before I could pull one out of the ground, the Tulip cop stop me.
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is going on right now until April 30th. If have an urge to see Tulips, then go check them out! As for me, I don’t want to see another Tulip again!

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

John,
I live in Holland, Michigan and we too have a tulip festival every year. Ours doesn’t begin until May, but it has consistently ranked as one of the top 3 small town festivals by Reader’s Digest magazine. Growing up here around the tulips myself, I can relate to being sick of them!
Tulip Town is one of those “once in a year” kinda thing. But I am glad I went to check it out.
