Ultimate Home Away From Home

written by John Chow on March 3, 2008

Make Money!

Tell grandpa his days of pulling his SLK behind the Bluebird are over! The Bluebird RV from Volkner Mobil allows you do something that no other mobile home can do: store a car it ins own garage. Where on a more conventional motor home you would expect to find a hold for luggage, a door beneath the main body of the vehicle opens up to reveal a space large enough to park a family car.

It is perfect for mobile travelers hankering for a little more freedom on holiday, allowing them to take on excursions or trips to the supermarket without having to uproot the entire contents of their motor home at the same time. Plus, it’s just damn cool and should evoke envious looks from the other motor homes at the campsite.

The Volkner offers two different body length to accommodate different sizes cars. The 10.5 meter home will have enough room for a Mini Cooper or SLK. Moving up to the 12.3 meter home will allow you to fit a Porsche 911, Jaguar XK8 Cabriolets, Ferrari F430, Corvette Z06 or other similarly dimensioned cars. Pricing is not available but you can visit Vokner Mobil for more information and to schedule a test drive. Bring your car with you to make sure it fits.

Anderson Mobile Estates

As fancy as the Bluebird is, it’s not the ultimate motor home. That title would go to the above creation from Anderson Mobile Estate.

While most travel trailer provide 200 to 400 square feet of living space, the Anderson Mobile Estates trailers offer an incredible 1,100 square feet of spacious living area on two levels (the roof rises up to create the second floor). The estates are custom built to the owner’s preference. No request is too crazy. Want a safe play areas for your kids? No problem. How about a full recording studio with sound booth? They can do that too.

The Estate isn’t designed for the owner to drive. You would hire a driver to drive it to its remote location and then fly in on your private jet. The Anderson Mobile Estates may not be the ultimate way to travel since you don’t drive it. However, it is the ultimate way to live when there are no 5-star hotels near by. Below are some photos of the Estate belonging to Will Smith. No doubt Will deducted the $1.8 million cost of the Estate as a business expense.

I'm crazy about trucks. This one is indeed the ultimate. I have a dream about buying my own truck, but here in Romania, it will remain a dream forever. The money will come, in time, but the roads won't admit one big truck like this.

Wow , John you know what am proud of you I need your contact phone number so I can call to speak with you, well relating tho your Convoy its great and very acommodative for cocktails etc, I dont think presently in the jungle city of Africa the road would not be able to give a smooth drive on street, but it lovely for cruise I dont think I need that convoy as much as you think , but rather I prefer a smaller type .

Sangeeta, people in the U.S. also prefer stable houses. I sure do! I think these mobile ones are for people who just have loads of cash and like to travel more comfortably. Or, in Will Smith's, case for people who like to party!

I'll just take the car from underneath thanks!

This type of home on wheels are yet to be seen in India. I think people here still prefer to have a stable house, not a roaming one. But, I personally liked the idea, especially, the interior design work.

w0w you got to love them, are you planning to buy john?

Thanks

I'll still camp in a tent when I'm rich.

Wow that is just amazing! The first one makes a lot of sense for those that travel by RV.

The other one is what the very rich use when they go "camping".

It's probably only going to be purchased by successful musicians that do a lot of travel when they tour. I would much rather stay in there than hotel rooms.

Is this the prize for the Affiliate Challege? :D

Holy crap! Didn't even know that they made mobile homes that big!

Love it! The ground clearance is a little iffy, though. Looks like even a minor pothole could do some serious damage to that sucker. Would be a FANTASTIC tour bus, though!

To the complainers, relax about the making money posts and go read the archives. If you aren't making money from what's already been posted then you aren't going to make money from any new posts either. It's not rocket science. John Chow is "business" and "lifestyle", get over it.

Another informative post on how to make money online..

Between posts like this, and pictures of what you eat for dinner, I'm learning so much.. Million dollars, here I come!

Those pictures are insain cool...

It is all just a piece of crap.

You only need to look for joy, happiness and inspiration. All the rest - all this luxury items mean nothing to me -

Will Smith's doesn't look like a home, though. That is more like a party bus or something of the sort. Wow, what a pimp.

wow! it's very big house. ;)))

Will a minivan fit in there?

For less money, get a fractional ownership with with NetJets - faster and classier.

Time to rock'n'roll..............!
Seriously though, you'd have to be crazy to buy something like that- as well as being a millionaire!

Jesus! I'd like to see someone driving around Ireland in one of those huge artics! (articulated trucks in your language, I think  )

Wow, it's party track!

Will a Jeep Cherokee fit in it?

Now that's what I call a house...Truly is a mansion on wheels...

By the way, why is the number of RSS subscribers lower than two days ago??? Then it was 22k!? Is this another trick from John?!

The next step is a spaceship.

yeah i am waiting for that one ... that would be for younger generation like me

Those are some pretty sick luxary vehicles John! I really like those pictures, never knew anything like that had been made yet

Will Smith's mobile estate is the ultimate model. No place to sleep. Just TV and party!

That is so nice.

I think I'd opt for the Bluebird. At least I can drive that. The Anderson Mobile Estate is more like one of those trailer homes that is virtually immobile since you have to hire someone to drive it. So I wouldn't exactly call it a "mobile" estate. Nevertheless, it's pretty cool, and if I had the money I guess I'd buy one.

I'd definitely leave my house if i have that kind of super trailer. Wow...

Does it look awesome "hell yes!", would I rent it for a party/road tip (if i could afford it). Would I live in it "NO!!"

i dont like the motor home itself but i like the mercedes in there ;)

haha WOW! thats what i need for when i go on tour! This summer  its another John Chow discovery, no brainer

Wow, if houses could be like this but afforable we would not need to actually. The real estate market would be different :-)

I love the first RV where you can hide a car. *DROOLS*

-Mike

Pretty nice pictures. Hah I wonder how many people you would need to tip that thing over from the inside.

How are Shoemoney and Zac Johnson supposed to fit their Hummers in there?

How about they make a bigger edition for the hummers? Probably a 3 bedroom apartment?

sounds like a good idea but making this trailer any higher would require the height of bridges to increase as well ...

You can stay in a crapload of killer hotels and drive a serious ride for the price of one of these deals. Pretty cool though.

Very interesting post. The house is impressive.
