Vancouver bloggers descended on The Black Water Cafe last night for the 39th Vancouver Blogger Meetup. As meetups goes, this was one of the biggest yet, with 34 bloggers attending. The poor Black Water Cafe was pretty much overwhelmed. Had I known the place was this small, I wouldn’t have pushed the meetup so hard. It was standing room only.
The Vancouver Blogger Meetup brings local bloggers together to talk about issues that deals with bloggering. It’s actually quite refreshing because most of the discussions center around blogging for fun and not for making money. This meetup was also special because it represented the passing of the sword. The current meetup organizer, Isabell, has decided to retire and give the role to Rual. I’m sure he’ll do a great job with it.
Networking is a big part of my success as a blogger. The contacts you make at networking events really can take your blog to the next level. The worst thing that can happen is you make some new friends. My next event stop will be in Boston for the Affiliate Summit East. If anyone wants to meet up before the big show, give me a shout.
