Vaping Money Online with ecig.com Multi-Level Affiliate Program

In some respects, you could say that the industry for smoking cessation products is almost as big as the tobacco industry itself. Well, that’s not really true, but it’s undeniable that a lot of money has been made selling a variety of chewing gums and patches. One of the hottest new trends to emerge in recent years is the rise of the electronic cigarette or e-cig.

E-cigs are used by people who want to quit smoking, but “vaping” has also become a recreational activity among people who never picked up a regular cigarette in their lives. And with this segment of the market growing, there is a huge opportunity for affiliates to make some serious money too. In today’s review, we take a look at the ecig.com affiliate program, one of the most lucrative in the business.

Stop Smoking and Start Vaping

Before we take a closer look at the affiliate program, let’s first familiarize ourselves with ecig.com itself. As you can quite plainly see, this is an exceptionally awesome domain for an online store that sells everything related to vaping and e-cigs.

It’s short, it’s memorable and it’s right on point. This makes it a lot easier for affiliates to promote the products too. On ecig.com, customers can find everything they need related to electronic cigarettes. There are starter kits, mods, tanks, e-juice fluids, batteries, accessories and more. It’s quite literally a one-stop shop for all your vaping and e-cig needs. A range of popular brand names are stocked here, like Midas and Innokin, and customers in the lower 48 United States can enjoy free shipping too.

The Multi-Tiered Affiliate Program

Even if you’re not into vaping culture and you have no interest in purchasing electronic cigarettes or the related paraphernalia, you can tap into this growing industry and make some great money online. That’s because ecig.com offers a multi-level affiliate program that pays four tiers deep.

For all the customers that you refer to ecig.com, you earn a commission of 15% on the completed sale. A typical starter kit is about $40, so that would earn you a commission of $6. What’s critical here, however, is that the ecig.com affiliate program offers lifetime commissions. That referred customer is yours for life.

According to ecig.com, the average e-cig user spends about $1,200 per year on e-cig products (like the tanks and e-juice). With a 15% commission, that means every “average” customer you refer can net you $180 every year. Refer two people every day who spend the average amount and you’ll earn over $131,000 per year.

If any of your referrals refer new customers, you earn a 5% lifetime commission on all of those sales. On the third and fourth levels, you earn a 2% lifetime commission. With this four-tier commission, you could enjoy some incredible passive and residual income for years to come.

The Affiliate Dashboard

The ecig.com affiliate program is powered by Post Affiliate Pro. If you’ve signed up for an affiliate program elsewhere that uses the same software, then you’ll be very familiar with how the back-end of this program looks and works.

By default, the affiliate panel uses the “Dash” theme, but you can click on the Panel Settings link in the left sidebar to select from a few different themes if you’d prefer. The functionality is otherwise identical, giving you at-a-glance stats and access to in-depth reports. You can even see the individual clicks.

Naturally, it is also through the affiliate dashboard that you’ll find the promotional materials. The promotional banners come in three or four main designs, each of which is available in a several standard sizes.

Something important to note here is that you can refer customers to ecig.com using a coupon code or affiliate link. In fact, your affiliate ID works as your coupon code, giving customers a 10% discount on their first order. This provides the added opportunity for offline marketing, since someone doesn’t have to click on your link in order for you to gain credit for the referred sale. The discount provides an added incentive for the customer to buy too.

Can I Make Money with ecig.com?

The opportunity is certainly there. The online store looks like it would be very appealing to people who vape, as the variety of products and brands is impressive. The name is also instantly recognizable and respectable.

As far as the affiliate program goes, the base 15% commission is very good and the multi-tier structure is even better. When combined with the default coupon code, there’s a lot of upside to the ecig.com affiliate program. Payments are issued monthly via PayPal with a minimum threshold of $100.

Imagine how much that domain cost.

The ecig industry is growing rapidly. I live down south and I’ve seen lots of shops and kiosks popping up around like crazy. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be big business. With all the regulations on regular cigarettes coming into play in bars/public places it could be a natural progression.

I’ve known people to try the switch and have got good and bad reviews. One thing I know for sure is that people will continue to smoke.

And yes that domain name was perfect. I’m sure the original owner made a pretty penny.

  3. Hi Michael,

As awareness about smoking and its health risks increases worldwide this niche will accelerate at a sick pace. Here in Bali we see warnings by every ad or on every cig box, where 4 years ago, here, we saw few. People all over are learning how bad smoking is for you and yep, this niche and affiliate program will continue to take off, growing like wildfire.

I hear that consuming sugar is bad for your health. I don’t see your point. I make no commission on the sale of eCigs. This is a review of the affiliate program.

Wasn’t there some health issues regarding E-cigarettes a few years ago? I remember e-cigs affiliate programs were a big hit with Internet Marketers. Haven’t heard much about this niche in a while.
