I wrote about the Koenigsegg CCX back in March. I called it my new dream car because it was beautiful, expensive, and crazy fast (0-60 in 3.2 seconds, 245 MPH top speed).
What I like most about the Koenigsegg CCX is it subscribes to the high power / low weight method of building cars. Most sports cars today have lots of power but they’re also heavy. The CCX engine makes 806HP but has to move only 2,601 lbs of car. That is just a few lbs heavier than a Mazda Miata.
The reason I’m writing about the CCX again is because I may have a chance to view it live. A week ago, I received an Email from Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace. Exotic Cars is the only authorized Koenigsegg dealer in America. It seems the Director of Operations for Exotic Cars reads my blog. He noticed my Koenigsegg CCX posts and decided to Email me. Right now, Exotic Cars does not have a CCX in stock but they hope to by the time I’m in Vegas.
With the renewed interest in the CCX, I decided it was time to get some new photos of the car. One of the nice thing about owning The TechZone is I can easily get a “Media Login” for any company site. All automakers maintain a media site so members of the press can get company information and download high quality photos.
The photos at Koenigsegg’s website are extremely high quality and very BIG – I’m talking 8,563 x 6,909 pixels big. Some of the image files are over 25 Megs! I downloaded two images that I really like. I am using them as the current wallpapers for my dual widescreen LCD setup. I figure I would share them. The photos have been resized to fit a 1680 x 1050 screen.
Click on the above images to get the full-sized wallpaper. If you need a different image size, let me know and I’ll upload it for you.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...
