Visit To The IZEA Office

Since the IZEA office and world headquarter in downtown Orlando is within walking distance of the hotel I’m staying at, I decided to walk over during lunch time without an appointment to see if they would let me in. When visiting a Web 2.0 company, I recommend everyone to make an appointment. However, it makes for a funnier video if you don’t.
IZEA was founded by Ted Murphy and is the parent company of Pay Per Post and Social Spark. They’re also the producers of IZEA Fest, IZEA Rank, Cloud Shout and a bunch of other Internet properties.
Very few people were at the IZEA office when I visited. Most of them had gone for lunch. That created a perfect opportunity for Operation Grab IZEA T Shirts. Find out how I did by watching the video below.

Reply to this commentJohn, you’ve got so many ingredients to make your blog tasteful. Maybe this is one of you secrets of attracting escalating readers.
From outside, it just looks like another home office (like Eban Pagan’s), but when you got in, WOW… Looks like they can certainly afford to put up a fest like that.
Reply to this commentI’ve been loving your videos. Total riot. It’s funny, because your blog posts are just great, too, but now that I’ve been watching the videos, I feel like I appreciate the whole thing a lot more. Keep up the fun. It’s great to see what you get up to.
Man, there were about 100 cliches in the Izea office, but all of them fun. : )

Reply to this commentHaha…That was sneaky. I was on lunch in the Wonderman room and saw you peek your head in, but didn’t see the T-shirts. Your scavenger hunt video was super funny by the way. I was part of the group that danced with the random stranger your group danced with. I love how you said “Hey don’t dance with them, i’ll give you money”….haha

Reply to this commentHello, Mr. John Chow,
I’m a detective from the Orlando Police Department and I’m investigating a theft that happened in the IZEA offices. From watching your video I have determined that you are indeed the culprit, and a hardened criminal. Please turn yourself in right away. Or….
Perhaps, we could work out a deal in which I receive an IZEA t-shirt and I’ll ‘misplace’ this warrant for your arrest.
Your videos are getting better and better John, really entertaining.
