Vote for Me and You Could Win a Ruff PC

Remember that Ruff PC Laptop review that Michael did a few weeks back? It seems that review was part of a review competition with the best review winning the Ruff PC. The winner is decided by readers in three rounds of voting. Amazingly enough, I made it into the second round without even knowing about it.
The competition started with 80 reviews. The top 20 with the most votes are now in round two. The top five will move onto the final round. So head over to The Thinking Blog and vote for me! If I win this PC, I’ll be giving away it to a reader who voted.
The rules are simple, cast a vote for me and then leave a comment here so I know you voted. Hopefully, we’ll have enough votes to enter the final round. Then we’ll pull out all the stops in the final round and one lucky reader will take that laptop home!

you’ve gone against the rules John. They said no bribing and you are bribing us. So, I think you don’t deserve this laptop.
I suggest that you go through the rules once again. Michael did a good job and because of which you reached the second round…but this way you’ll be disqualified.

John is giving nothing to all who voted for him. And I think that none of us here voted for John to get Laptop? He got the vote cause he did goog job writing the review.
Ok lets get it correct…John didn’t write it. Michael wrote the post. Now, I’m not against John in any way. I’m just saying that this is called bribing….if you are not voting for him for that laptop doesn’t mean everyone else isn’t voting.
After all you are the only one who took time to read this comment and what about others…all of them have said John gets 1 vote.
So, see readers are interested in that laptop and not anything else.

Mayank: If you look at the second round post, it says that the winner can do whatever they want with the Ruff PC, including giving it away to one of their readers. In this way, John is sticking with the rules.
Justin: John didn’t do a good job writing the review. I did. I used to make a comment or two on every review I wrote here, correcting people when they say things like “great review john”, but I’ve grown tired of correcting them.
Nicholas: Exactly. The difference would be if John gave a Ruff PC to everyone who voted for him… now that’s an idea!
I’m just going to sound greedy here and say that if the review posted on John Chow dot Com ends up winning the competition, I should get the RuffPC, because I wrote the “best” review. Then again, if the review weren’t posted here, it would reach a much smaller audience. Hey John, sound like a deal? I’ll refund how much you paid me for that review. LOL.

I notice your struggles too with people not realizing you write the bulk of the ReviewMe reviews here. I think you should re-negotiate for a higher payment from John for each review and just ghostwrite it for him and forgo the recognition on the Author line.
Michael…First off..great job in writing the review.
secondly, I don’t think that its written anywhere that you can do anything with the laptop.
And as I’ve said that if every blogger (taking part in contest) decided that they are giving away the laptop then the line ” THis is not a popularity contest” becomes a waste…Clearly John has more readers than every other blogger in contest.
I’m just asking for a fair contest and nothing else.
