We Don’t Care About Your Blog

written by John Chow on October 22, 2008

Make Money!

I woke up this morning and saw a Twitter from Vancouver’s local blogging DJ, Buzz Bishop. Not only does the Buzz have good taste in wines, he also comes up with a few funny videos once in a while. This one is by Kiah Tucker and he doesn’t care about your blog. Kiah is an Aussie who like to rap. He doesn’t blog.

While Kiah may not care about your blog, it’s clear he has seen the power of blogging. Otherwise, why write a song about it? Maybe if Kiah can see some of the good that can come from blogging, he may care a bit more. Anyway, I like the song and if I ever get on a milk crate at a future Ideas on Tap, I think this song will be my pitch.

Ouch! That’s not so nice of him is it? But it’s sorta true.

Writing Jobs October 22, 2008 at 11:13 am

Now, we can be a little nicer than that can’t we :) LOL

AverageGal October 22, 2008 at 12:05 pm

lol – very clever. He took a lot of time and energy to write and rap about something that he didn’t care about!

Franklin Bishop October 22, 2008 at 2:18 pm

I know! I did a you tube rap song once.

Steven-Sanders October 23, 2008 at 2:58 pm

Oh yeah? I’d be interested in hearing that one.

That was Whack, at least for me and anyone who has a taste for pure rap! It was only hillarious!

JP - TickerWatcher.com October 25, 2008 at 10:33 pm

I agree the song wasnt that great – at best it kept me entertained for about 5 seconds -then I flipped over to an mp3 of T.I.

AverageGal October 22, 2008 at 2:55 pm

I wish there were a dance to go along with the audio! That would make it way better!

Ryan McLean October 22, 2008 at 2:33 pm

lol, I know. I might as well just give up blogging now. ;)

He has creativity, I’ll give him that. I think he should try blogging and see if he likes it.

LotusJump October 22, 2008 at 10:04 am

Hahaha – nice.

Andy October 22, 2008 at 10:31 am

Nice video!!!

Catie October 22, 2008 at 10:51 am

hahah! I guess if you don’t like blogging you should rap about it? Either way, its making him money.

Takumi86 October 22, 2008 at 10:53 am

He will care about blogging once she find out how to use it properly and how to make money from it

Franklin Bishop October 22, 2008 at 2:24 pm

No kidding! Money usually changes peoples minds.

TYCP Entertainment Magazine October 23, 2008 at 1:15 am

Yep. Money talks & BS walks.

Debo Hobo October 22, 2008 at 11:18 am

Oh that was so cute, of course I think British rappers are so cute anyway. They try so hard;)

Chris Jacobson October 22, 2008 at 11:27 am

I think that song was written about ShoeMoney.

The_Pope October 22, 2008 at 11:29 am

Debo – he’s Australian, not British

Steven-Sanders October 23, 2008 at 3:00 pm

Yeah, their accents are always very similar and confusing. It’s hard to tell the difference unless you really listen closely.

Chad October 22, 2008 at 11:34 am

Funny stuff…

…I think this is attacking personal blogs more than anything. But when it comes to other blogs, it raises a great point – “find ways to make people care about your blog!”

Oh, and maybe another – “don’t try and push your blog on those that aren’t interested”.

James October 22, 2008 at 11:46 am

I stick to the mantra “if you build it, they will come”. People tend to gravitate toward others of like mindedness. No need to force your blog on people, just do what you do and kindred spirits will find you.

CoolProducts October 22, 2008 at 11:55 am

+A video. Would watch again.

Nicholas Chase October 22, 2008 at 11:55 am

John, A great viral marketing opportunity was missed here!

He should youtube this and go on WebLogs.com and ping.fm.com and run this song on the billboard top 100!

Respectfully, Nicholas Chase ‘the video guy’ at BlogWorld Expo 2008

its all true anyway, some people REALLY do feel like that… either way it was an entertaining Rap… I hope he makes a Music Video on it too!!!

Neeshes October 22, 2008 at 1:00 pm

That’s the problem with most blogs. They’re entirely self-centered. The best blogs think about the reader first.

Franklin Bishop October 22, 2008 at 2:28 pm

Just write YOU alot. It’s like Obama saying MIDDLE CLASS.

Mike Huang October 22, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Greg Ellison October 22, 2008 at 2:34 pm

Nice song :)

BusinessX October 22, 2008 at 4:14 pm

At least he was a decent rapper and somewhat clean too. God forbid someone trying this with a human beat box.

Is anyone up to doing a rebuttal?

Affiliate Confession October 22, 2008 at 4:46 pm

Not much of a video, more like a Power Point presentation with a voiceover.

David October 22, 2008 at 9:12 pm

Meh nothing special

Keral Patel October 22, 2008 at 10:42 pm

Cared to create a video of things that he didn’t cared about :D

TYCP Entertainment Magazine October 23, 2008 at 1:17 am
