What Are You Thankful For?

In my previous post, I wrote a bit about what I’m thankful for. Now, I want to give you a chance to let everyone know what you’re thankful for. Thanks to the power of Twitter, I can give my readers a forum to express their views and give them a bit of exposure at the same time.

During lunch at the Aberdeen Centre mall, I sent out a tweet asking what you’re thankful for and got back nearly 50 replies. I think that’s a new record and I thank everyone for replying.

The Twitter question of the day has proven to be a really good addition to the blog. It’s really a win-win situation. I have an easy way to create new content and readers have an easy way to speak their mind and promote their Twitter accounts. I should talk to Shoe about turning this Twitter script into a WordPress plugin. I think it’ll be downloaded like hotcakes.

I’m thankful for everything. People take things for granted but you can’t do that.

    1. Taris J says:

I would have to agree with you Trevor

We have the great privilege to be living in the modern free world, where anyone with even a little bit of work ethic can go far.

We don’t have to worry about famine, or war, or any of the other problems that third world countries are faced with.

We all have it pretty sweet 🙂

      1. Look @ me, Look @ me, I made the post. I realized in college that there were very few things in this world that I can control. It made me realize how thankful I should be. I even put a category “Giving Thanks” for the post that I write about it. The fact of the matter is…I didn’t have control over

        where I was born
If I was going to be health
        If I could walk
who my parents were and if they were going to love me
where I went to school and other networking opportunities

The list goes on and on. Thankfulness comes from realizing that you are where you are because someone helped you get there.

  2. I loved reading this list! Especially with the “twitter twist” that you only had 140 characters. It’s great how some are so serious, some are busines-like, some are funny … I guess I’m grateful for this post! LOL *SmiLes* Suzanne
