#1 reason for holding you back from blogging is My girlfriend and her constant naging about im allways online. Your’s truly thegeekboys.com
How about getting something like this…

Then you can spend time with your girlfriend and blog on the go.
Hey now, they are girls, if not for the computer they will complain for the NEO
I actually use my T-Mobile MDA for a similar purpose through a program called Pocket Text Editor. It outputs a basic .txt file. The thumb QWERTY isn’t the best, but it certainly is portable.
And I bet she also says, that you love more your computer than her (thats the same identical way my GF acts). Well sometimes she is right…i mean, to complain not about that I love my computer more than her
I manage to stay on my track. September showed 33 Posts an 30 days, so this makes a success for me.
Any noticable traffic increase?
Did it become easier after 20 days to do it?
Mine did. How about showing some link love?
i think being consistent is easier after 2 weeks or so after getting into the rhytm, imo
Ahh I see what you are doing John
Thats good…lol.
What do you mean?
I think he is saying JohnChow is turning to ala Problogger.
Other stuff to do
Oooo, oooo, oooo, I got a mention!!!!
I kept up my end of the bargagin, blogged a daily post for 3 weeks, but it was hard at times. There were some days when I didn’t want to blog for poopie poo. What helped was putting some of my posts in a queue, so even when I wasn’t in the mood to blog, I could rely on a scheduled post being published to fulfill my daily quota.
My traffic hasn’t increased much, but I HAVE noticed that blogging seems to be less of a chore now, and more of a routine. I also think that it helps to keep your posts short, between 200-500 words. Don’t set the bar so high for yourself in terms of how long your blog posts need to be. You don’t need to wait until you’re inspired to write a 30,000 word thesis on a topic. That was a mentality I had to fight myself.
Some great posts in this list.
Nothing - have been posting daily 3-5 entries since 1995…
Looks like DealDotCom wordpress plugin doesn’t work well
yup … i think its for noob … i prefer hard-coding it
Well it would help if DealDotCom’s site was up while testing it.
Every client / visitor is a tester. It’s the Microsoft way
The most I missed was a day here and there but other days I mad it up with two or three posts. Thanks for the challenge. It got me off my ass and now it’s like I can’t stop. That good old feeling of flow. And hey, traffics up and Google banned my name. What could be better?
This Is What Happens When You Do Don’t Blog Everyday
If you don’t read John Chow dot Com, it’s a great blog to read if you’re a blogger yourself. About a month ago, John wrote a post asking his readers why they don’t blog everyday, so I wrote a post about exactly that. Since I wro…

Blogging for money is hard!!! Have to put a lot of time and effort. Unless you have too much free time or it’s your fulltime job, otherwise blogging for money is not for everyone!!!

John Chow has been one of the inspirations for me to start blogging and I am going to attempt to blog the twenty straight days!
I took the advice and blogged nearly daily for the past month. I also submitted some of my blog posts to some web sites with similar content and let them use the content for free as long as they plugged my blog. I participated in a couple of blog carnivals as well. The result? My traffic went from about 100 page views in August (I started in late July), to nearly 6,000 page views in September, so I would say it was definitely a success. My blogging income has also increased a bit, but I’m nowhere near John Chow-type money. If I could only figure out some better ways of monitizing my blog and increasing the page views, I think it will pay off in the long run, but I’m not complaining about my short term success.
Well, Gary, I did my best
and linked back too in the original post.
I managed to keep up, well mostly. I will post about it soon, and I’ll be giving out some link love to all other participants!
Probably the thing I struggle with the most is taking on too many online ventures at once. It can get stressful trying to maintain a daily blog, but it gets done somehow.

How many things can a guy do? Time is finite and quite a bit of it goes into making a living. I am not making it by blogging obviously.
