Win A Brand New ASUS Eee PC Netbook!

written by John Chow on March 25, 2009

Make Money!

Patric Welch over at Noobie.com ordered this review to let you know that his company’s third birthday is coming up and to celebrate, he’s giving away a brand new ASUS Eee PC Netbook! The ASUS Eee PC spots a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB Eee Storage and built-in wifi and Bluetooth capability. For all you Vista haters, the Eee PC comes pre-installed with Windows XP. The claimed battery life is whopping 9.5 hours, making it perfect all day blogging! It’s also very light at only 3.2 lbs.

Are You A Noobie?

Noobie is a company that helps technology challenged people learn how to use their digital cameras, iPods, cell phones and other tech toys. If you’re a noobie, then Noobie.com is the site for you! Patric also help people purchase technology products through the Noobie Concierge service and help small businesses leverage technology to grow their business.

Some examples of this are helping businesses set up simple WordPress sites, helping them use Google Apps or helping them set up and grow their email database. You know, really noobie stuff. Anyway, you don’t have to be noobie to enter their contest.

ASUS Eee PCHow To Enter

To enter for a chance to win the $399 ASUS Eee PC, simply go to this page and fill out the form and click the Submit button at the bottom. That’s it! Absolutely no purchase is required.

You can earn up to five additional entries by telling your friends about the Noobie contest. There is no obligation for your friends to enter the contest for you to get these additional entries.

Entries for Noobie’s ASUS Eee PC Netbook Giveaway will end on April 18th, 2009 at 11:59 P.M. EST. The drawing will take place on or about April 20th, 2009.

Yes, I’ve actually entered. If I should win it, I’ll be giving it away in another contest. Good luck!

The Asus platform is excellent, about a year ago I picked up a Asus EEE 4g, before they remodled them, Installed XLited XP and was in love ever since.

I really like these types of campaigns.

It creates a viral effect.

Thanks John for sharing.

These do not work as well as they used to do. Too many similar contests going around, what comes to viral nature, the campaign goes only so far as giveaway items are supplied. If the offered service is not up to the par, then people will just leave. I'd say that true viral effect will originates from something much more meaningful than free item.

That's great... I'll try to inform my friends about this. ASUS is a nice notebook as a free stuff.

The condition says you agree to receive sponsor emails but it didn't say who the sponsor is. Is the sponsor Noobie or are they trying to grow the email list of a specific company?

Ain't giveaway marketing fun? Usually people won't look to left nor to right and enter straight away. Most of the time there is something very interesting to learn from these marketing methods if you keep your eyes open.

I haven't seen anyone but young kids using these. Person who really needs computer for work will take something else and person who wants to be mobile takes a mobile phone. These seem to fall to a market segment of those who can't afford a Mac to show off at coffee shops.

Like Stephen said, it's ironic because John is based in Canada and he's promoting a US-only offer. Worse yet, Vancouver/Richmond is moments away from the US border. Australia is on the other side of the world.

I don't blame him for that. I also promote a lot of US stuff as a lot of my visitors come from there.
