That's one of the best parts about WordPress: upgrading takes no time at all, the most time consuming part is disabling/activating your plugins!

I just recently migrated from Blogger to WordPress 2.04 (and recently 2.08). I always try to be on the "cutting edge" of things, but I'm sitting this 2.1 upgrade out for the next few months, I think.

Why the wait? I'm still getting my feet wet with WordPress and I want to learn more about it in the coming weeks and months. Maybe it's not really all that important to know *everything* about WP, but at least the things which matter I suppose.

Glad to see that things are running smoothly here. Who knows, I might change my mind at some point, and dive in.

Well, since a new Wordpress Upgrade has come along, just wanted to let everyone know about Meebo Me. It is a 2way Chat Widget I recently installed on my website that I like.

<a href="http://www.midtowntoronto.com/2007/02/21/new-widget-meebo-chat-live-with-radu/" title="Chat Live with Radu" rel="nofollow">Chat Live with Radu</a>

It allows your visitors to chat with you should you be online, in Real Time.

Go Meebo Me.

Radu

P.S: Perhaps you already know about this widget, in which case, disregard this comment.

The thing I fear about WP updates is sometimes it is incompatible with custom themes designed for prior updates. Anyway, extra cash for webdesigners, right? :)

Hi John, I have been your blog reader for over a year now. Great content, all the time. I have a blog on money making matters and have been contemplating moving to wordpress but have not been so far. I guess with all the best features available at wordpress I should make the move soon.

No, I realize it doesn't take that long, but once I get working on my blog, then I start visiting other blogs, like your own, and then all of a sudden, the evening is gone...just like that...

Simply update the specific files as mentioned on the WP page or as Ajay explains on his site [above] and things should go fine.

22 files were updated and most of them are files that will probably not affect most users who modify their WP installations. Override those files and run the upgrade script to be sure [can anyone confirm if upgrading is a necessity in this case?], and you are all done.
