The 2011 Affiliate Summit East kicked off with the Affiliate Meet Market. The meet market is the place where affiliate marketers can talk face to face with the affiliate managers. It’s also the place where you can pick up tons of free stuff.
The Meet Market is a great place to meet up and coming affiliate networks that couldn’t spend the cost of a full-size booth on the main show floor. Many of the big networks have displays at both the Meet Market and show floor but generally, most of the table belongs to smaller networks.
The value of the Meet Market is the face to face networking. Merchants have tables set to meet with affiliates to discuss their affiliate programs and cut deals. Vendors that cater to affiliates and merchants also have tables to share information about their products and services. Each table is a meeting spot for teaching, learning, closing deals, creating partnerships, finding new opportunities, and getting free stuff.
