Dining At Provence Marinaside

Located in the Yaletown district of downtown Vancouver where Davie Street meets False Creek, Provence Marinaside is a great place to see and be seen. I discovered the place a few years back during an episode of Opening Soon on Food TV. Since then, Provence Marinaside has proven to be a great place to take a date for a night out on the town.

The restaurant is located right at the False Creek waterfront at 1177 Marinaside Crescent. Sitting at the patio, you’ll see trendy Yaletowners walking the seawall with their miniature dogs or their miniature kids. If you get tire of looking at that, you can admire all the big yachts that never seem to leave their docks.

Provence Marinaside

Provence Marinaside features fresh local seafood, a raw oyster bar, antipasti showcase and an extensive wine list. Dinner started with a a selection of oyster on the half shell. This was followed by a mushroom antipasti and a warm goat cheese salad. For the main course, we had AAA Canadian beef tenderloin with red wine peppercorn jus and roasted vegetables. This was followed up by a skewer of sea tiger prawns with zucchini spaghetti. Dessert was a double chocolate Kahlua cake and a raspberry creme brulee.

The food at Provence is consistent and always good. All the dishes were well presented and tasted great. Their oysters are among the best in the city and they have a good selection to choose from as well. If you want to experience the trendy Yaletown lifestyle, dinner at Provence Marinaside will provide it.
