How To Change Your Mindsets To Improve Performance

Running a successful business is all about having the right mind frame and making sure you keep pushing forward when all else is against you. However, many people don’t know how important simple performance elements can be the difference between success and failure. I’ve read several books by Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, and others because I believe a successful mentality is the first element in running a solid business. However, I’m surprised at how many people fail to understand this simple concept and wake every morning unmotivated to grow their business. Next,

Mindset for performance can be divided into “5” basic elements that I’ll be discussing below. Each of these play a crucial role in performance so NOT only will you establish a successful business, but also wake up putting 150% into your business through optimal performance.

Let’s get started…

Choose the Best Company

When you’re surrounded with the right company, you’ll always have a positive mind and can turn to positive people for the right inspiration. Many people believe if you’re going to surround yourself with losers, you’re going to be one but if your crowd is successful, then you’ll want to achieve your best as well. I’m not saying all your friends have to be millionaires but I do believe they have to be driven, moving toward a positive direction. For example,

You’ve probably noticed some of the richest people are well networked with other billionaires. Why? Because it’s a great way to learn and keep thinking success.

Set Small Goals

That’s right! Don’t set big goals, but small ones leading to a bigger objective. Why? A big goal can take a long time to complete and you’ll lose motivation along the way but by completing small daily or monthly goals, you’ll find fulfillment in everything you do. Did you know Arnold Schwarzenegger was a prolific goal setter? It’s often said he was a millionaire before his bodybuilding career even began. He claims the following?

By setting goals each month, you NOT only have a reason to push forward while motivating yourself, but you’ll also be in optimal performance mode so you can get the work done on time.

Always Have a Vision

In the previous step, we talked about small goals, but it’s important they lead to a bigger picture or vision. This bigger picture is a purpose to live or work hard. For example, many want to be the best boxer, some want to change the tech world, and others want to streamline how people connect all over the world. When you have a clear vision, it translates into motivation and with that comes productivity. So,

When you sit down to think, make sure you write down in big letters what your ultimate purpose is within different aspects of your life. Think about…

  • Work
  • Family
  • Love
  • Giving back
  •  Etc.

Take Risks

Some of the most successful people stepped out of their comfort zone and did extremely well because it pushed them to do things they normally wouldn’t do. It’s often said the bigger the risk, the greater the reward and many successful people have claimed to have stepped out of their comfort zone before hitting it rich. Why?

When you are good at something, you’ve mastered everything about it, but it’s only when you step into something you’re NOT familiar with that you look for ways to improve, optimize, and outperform others. You’re essentially building yourself further and this makes you strong, allowing you to take risks where the reward is even bigger. Ask yourself what you can do right now to step into an unfamiliar territory and grow as a person.

Exercise

Many people often wonder what exercise has to do with success and fail to see the direct connection. Many top businessmen will talk about their daily routine starting with 1-2 hours in the gym because it helps keep them in great shape. Regular exercise releases endorphins into your blood stream and these are your body’s natural pain killers. They help…

  • Reduce stress
  • Provide energy
  • Help focus
  • Motivate

It’s all about the mind frame and when you feel great, you’re going to work much harder. Exercise doesn’t have to be time consuming as many claim a 1-hour cardio run 3-4 times a week will be perfect to achieve maximum benefits.
