How To Make Stable Driving Videos

The GoPro Hero4 is a great camera to do driving videos. In fact, it was created with that in mind, and it’s one of the reasons I use it for Driving with John Chow.

The problem with the GoPro is, unlike my Olympus OM-D E-M1, it doesn’t have optical image stabilization. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem if you’re driving a luxury car on a smooth road. However, if you’re driving a tightly sprung sports car on a rough road, the finished video can come out quite shaky.

How do you minimize the shakiness, and make stable driving videos? The video below explains the easy solution I used to create smooth and stable driving videos. The suction mount featured in the video is the Fat Gecko Mini Camera and Camcorder Mount.
