The Tackle Box is a local “grub shack” that serves quick, simple, and unique flavors that appeal to the masses. The restaurant was founded by Brian Huskey of Top Chef Season 11. Chef Brian was a top 5 finisher on the show.
While the original Tackle Box location in Corona Del Mar is a shack with a limited menu, Tackle Box Costa Mesa is a full service restaurant with an expanded menu plus a wide selection of beers and wines. The space offers long bar seating, large community table, and expansive patio space.
As nice as the restaurant looks, the food is the true stand out. Tackle Box was voted one of the Top 20 best restaurants for “cheap eats” by the OC Register. Believe me, Chef Brian can charge a lot more for his food and diners would happily pay it. The must order item is the blackened Ahi Tuna burger. It’s OMG amazing. Enjoy the video.
